Perfect size!
These clippers make trimming my very small bodied cat very simple. I love the fact that the hole is small enough that it makes it nearly impossible (not completely, but nearly impossible) to clip into the quick. You’d really have to not know where the quick was to clip into it with these. As long as you use good lighting and know where the quick is, you won’t have to worry about nicking into it with these clippers. They’re very durable and sturdy also. Comfortable in your hand and even work if you have a jumpy cat. Just be careful when using because it is difficult to get them back FROM around the nail unless you clip. If your cat is jumpy, I suggest grabbing her/him by the scruff if possible in order to trim their nails. ♡ (some people do this with their mouth, but I’m sure you can figure out a better way. The clippers are so simple to use!)

Great if your cat hates nail trims
These are really nice and easy to use. We’ve had them for a long time but they’re still very sharp. Our cats hate getting nail trims, but since this is so good, we get them trimmed very quickly and they’re really comfortable to hold.

Works well and limits the length of claw to be trimmed but the hand position is awkward
Makes a nice clean cut and the hole in the blade limits the length of claw that can be trimmed so it doesn’t cut down into the quick and the hole keeps the claw from crushing or splitting like other trimmers. Makes for a much happier cat.Because it’s scissors-style, the hand position doesn’t necessarily align with the angle of the cat’s claws, so it becomes an awkward exercise in holding the cat, holding the paw, and getting the wayward claw into the hole in the blade. Not impossible, but just awkward.

This is a great little clipper. You put the nail into the pre-cut hole, which prevents you from trimming too short. Worked great and I was able to clip the little guy’s nails quickly and without drama, for either of us.

I have 2 cats. A kitten and a senior. The kitten didn’t like having his nails clipped but otherwise got through it. My senior cat of whom has never had her nails clipped was much tougher to wrangle. Her response was to run. Works as shown and it did not get the quick of the nail so great overall product!

The hole is made for trimming a very young kitten or puppy’s nails. These won’t work on my small breed dog. Great concept but I wish they offered a slightly larger hole for dogs under seven pounds.

I have 3 indoor cats. 2 are chilled and tolerate getting claws trimmed without a fuss (lucky owner of Ragdolls) the 3rd is a sometimes intolerant rescue black cat with talons that risk curling into her paws if left untrimmed.I’ve tried numerous types of tools to trim cats claws and this is by far the best designed yet. The bigger handles offer better grip, control and manoeuvrability. The design of the blade means that you don’t accidentally trim too much off the claw and cutting the quick. This is especially helpful with my black cat who has a couple of black claws. I don’t have to guesstimate where the quick is.
