great for small/medium sized cats. my cat is a rag doll and about 15 pounds she fit just fine on this but it was a bit tight for her, would probably get the 30 inch instead. love it! my cat loved the fish a lot. easy to assemble, looks cute with other furniture.

Cute idea but disappointing execution
I was eagerly awaiting delivery of this scratcher because from the listing photo, it was super cute and a really novel idea. Plus, it was a shape that my cats had liked in the past with other scratchers.Alas, there was a quality control issue with the paper attached to the front piece, with the photo of the couch arms, cross piece and legs. The front and back pieces arrived folded in half, and that was fine for the back, with which there was no problem. But on the front, apparently the glue pasting it to the thin piece of particleboard was applied sloppily, so when I unfolded that piece, the paper on each half tore. I had to break out the Elmer’s glue to reattach it, but the seam where it was torn still shows. It certainly isn’t a functional issue, but it is an aesthetic issue and I’d been planning to use it as a gift, which isn’t really an option anymore. Also, as I’ve often found with cat furniture that has big plastic screws to attach pieces to the cardboard core, the pieces don’t align exactly, though I tried repeatedly to fix the alignment.So this is a really cute idea, but the quality control is lacking, at least on the unit I received. My cats don’t care, of course–the oldest was on it and scratching within a few minutes of my setting it down. But if you’re planning to give this as a gift, you might want to consider my experience.(The scratcher comes with an extra horizontal piece that you can place in the bottom of the box it arrived in, and that was a stroke of genius, considering how much cats love boxes.)

The little cats and the big cat love this
I have a 19 1/2 pound cat loves this thing sleeps in it constantly and the smaller kittens absolutely love it. It’s a play toy to them plus they like to lay in it and they fall asleep so cute so adorable. I wish I could afford to get a whole bunch more

Both have a cat on them. One ding for being a pain to put together. The front and back screw in with these big plastic screws. I usually use my electric screwdriver, as between my arthritis and carpal tunnel pain, twisting screws in can be painful after about 3 of them. This has 12. It does come with a decent screwdriver once you put the handle on. The little catnip toy that came with it got unwrapped and cuddled by the cats before I got a chance to open it. There was a bit of a growling fight over it.

Cats love these couch shaped scratchers
I have 2 Bengals that love scratch pads but they’re especially drawn to these couch shaped ones. They’ve had a few in the past & the arms are always the first part to go & unfortunately that area can’t be replaced with a new board, so it means a new “couch”. But because they love them so much, I replace them. This one is definitely the cutest looking and largest that they’ve had. They weigh almost 20lbs so they fill it out but they’re not crowded or uncomfortable. These are so easy to put together, simply twist in the plastic screws and you’re set. My cats know when it’s for them and I couldn’t even finish putting it together before they were on it.The scratcher box is a genius idea and makes this set a great value. Other couches have been around this price without the added scratch box. So the box it all arrives in is repurposed for the scratch box. Simply fold the flaps down inside and place the board inside. My cats like hiding behind the curtain at our sliding glass door to watch the birds and squirrels eat. So I put the box behind that curtain and now they really feel like they’re hiding. They’re strictly indoor cats but that primal instinct to stalk is still there & this allows them to “hide” lol!The little fish toy that comes with this must be filled with catnip because my cats went crazy. They’re brothers so they get along great but they were actually fighting each other for this fish. And one of them just obsessively licked it for like 20 minutes. There is also a bag of catnip to attract them to the couch and the box, but it wasn’t needed with my cats. These are a great value since you get 2 different scratchers and scratchers that any cat would love. I highly recommend this set and will get more once these wear down. They’ve had them for a week and I don’t see a single spot where they’ve scratched, even though they’ve scratched on it a lot!!!
