EASY AND QUICK ASSEMBLY
Initially I was giving this only 4 stars because my 18.11lb Siberian big boy preferred to lounge on it over using it to scratch on! But in all fairness, it only took me about 7 minutes to put it together which didn’t include looking for scissors to snip open the catnip packet and sprinkle it over the scratch pad😻😹 That alone was deserving of 5 stars? A tidbit of advice on that is when you’re screwing the poles together at the ends with the sisal pad attached, once you get each screw locked into place, alternate around as you tighten each screw and bring each one level so you don’t screw it in at an angle. I quickly saw this could easily happen!I once again in all fairness, this isn’t Vinny’s typical awake and active timeframe. AND he’s not obese and docile! He’s a Siberian and is wearing his full triple thick winter coat which is about to get trimmed off😻 In addition to this, when I looked at the pictures I realized I placed it upside down so it was looking like a hammock! And it was on my bed so how enticing for a nap was that for him lolMoving to the technical aspects of this product. It comes ready to complete with the screwdriver included👍👍 Now that I know how easy it is to put together I may take it apart to put a protective coat of non toxic stain or paint on the wood so it repels dirt better. I’m not sure how many times time the screws would hold up to being taken on and off but they could easily be replaced if I felt the need to wash the scratching pad. I know from installation that care needs to be taken when screwing in the screws not to go off center to split the soft wood.This is a very portable scratcher having such a small footprint. I would take this with me when I go to visit with my grandchildren. I always worry that my kitties who need an outlet to scratch 2-3 times a day will resort to attacking her expensive couches🙀🙀 Another benefit of this is this type of thing woven material is great for attracting and holding onto the cats fur! Or at least mine!I will definitely recommend this👍👍😻😻

Great for the kitties
Cats will love this! I know ours do. They lounge on it all day and love to rub themselves all up on it. The base is sturdy and it does not take up much room in the family room. Looks really nice.

cozy scratcher
Some cats need to lounge while they scratch so this is perfect for them. Nicely and compactly packaged and super easy to assemble. They’re still getting used to it (new smells & all) but one of the girls did briefly relax in it. Sadly all I could catch a pic of was her tail!

Cheap and flimsy
Not worth $26.00. More like $5.00. Looks like it was made in someone’s garage. Flimsy and the bed is poky and scratchy. I have another cat bed, that’s no long available, my cat loves it. So soft. This is more for scratching. We have scratching poles for that. I wanted another soft bed. If that’s what you are looking for, this is not it. Don’t bother.

Great little scratcher hammock combo!
If I can build it, anyone can! Very easy to put together, however having an extra hand for the round bars might be helpful. It is sturdy enough for my chunky kitty so the size is great for the price! Sits low to the ground and comes with catnip pouch. My cats sleep in it and scratch it occasionally. Great for all cats, in my opinion.

Instant Hit with My Cat – She Loves This Scratching Bed!
As soon as I put this scratching bed together and set it on the floor, my cat went straight to it. She sniffed it, jumped on, scratched it, and then just flopped down looking completely content. It’s clearly comfortable!Assembly was super easy. I did it alone on a flat surface. I just tightened one side, slid on the hammock, and attached the other side. The sisal is sturdy, and the curved shape is perfect for lounging. I appreciated the touch of including a screwdriver for the assembly.It’s a great combo of scratcher and bed, and my cat absolutely loves it. Worth every penny!
