The bed is pretty small and it took my cats months before they would sit or lay in it. Now it’s a daily occurrence. The rope type of scratching pole does shed. Overall super cute and would recommend for kittens or smaller cats.

Very attractive Scratching Post – my 3 cats love this scratching post. Not only is it attractive with the plant leaves attached the cats love to use the post itself. The way the material is wound tightly around the pole – even though it’s used constantly it does not look “clawed” as the majority of poles do after a short time.
