    Steams But Doesn’t Brush Much
So I have wanted one of these for a while after seeing a video in a Facebook ad. I have a couple senior cats that don’t groom themselves as well as they should and this seemed like a great way to brush and remove loose hair and kind of clean the fur all at once.It is a cool mist steam, which I had kind of wondered about, so no chance of burning your cat or yourself. It works well, holds a charge a long time, and a full receptacle of water also lasts a long time. The disappointment lies in the brush. The ‘bristles’ are short silicone, and spaced pretty far apart so they actually don’t brush the cat at all. Only a minor amount of loose hair gets collected. So basically this amounts to a nice steamy massage for your cat. Which isn’t a bad thing. My cats love it (although one freaks out a bit if she sees the steam) and just purr and purr while I do it. They don’t seem to mind the damp fur at all. But alas, I still have to brush them too.

This actually works and doesn’t irritate their skin, no dander or static!
I can’t bath either of my cats, I wouldn’t typically expect to have to but one of my cats is very large at 18 lbs and the other one is almost 19 years old and only 6. 5 lbs. Neither is able to effectively groom themselves very much. I had just gotten done grooming the largee cat with a typical slicker brush that I’ve always thought does a great job at getting the loose hair off, he has a really hard time reaching his nether regions and is back because he is so chunky. I added water and did a few passes with the steam and then turned it off and then just kept brushing through and what you see in those pictures is all the extra hair above and beyond what I had already gotten off slicker. I was surprised to see the large handful of hair at the end of it all. I don’t think I really thought it was doing anything at the time I started brushing but by the end of it I’m convinced that this is actually a very decent item. It was a little bit of a pain to fill to get into that little hole, would have been nice to have a little funnel. I had a palm style steam brush with no handle similar to this but it was so awkward to use that I had tossed it after a couple of attempts, it just wasn’t comfortable for me to use. This brush with the handle makes significantly more sense. I like that the tips are soft and while it is a heavier brush that I’m used to, as long as I use a soft touch the older cat seems to like it as well. The palm style brush that I had, had the button right under your palm so when you needed to turn it on or off you had to stop brushing. With this one you can just use your thumb to hit that on or off button so you don’t change your pace and freak out the cat. One issue I have with my bigger cat is that using the slicker brush often pulls up a little dander and that’s annoying, I noticed with this one I don’t see that at all which is fantastic and there is absolutely no static so you don’t have to worry about hair sticking to your hands or other things.I wish it was a little more light weight. The handle is well long enough, the buttons to eject the hair or turn it on and off are easily accessible to your thumb even while grooming so you don’t need to stop if you just want to turn to steam off and on. The bristles are softer, not that rigid hard plastic they look like, all not the super soft silicon either, and seem more comfortable for both my very thin cat and very chunky boy and it immediately produces vaporized water as soon as you hit the button. Both cats really seemed quite comfortable with my using this on them. This is a great addition to have in my grooming kit for our cats and I’d highly recommend it, especially if you deal with dander or lots of static when you groom your cats.

Great Little Brush to Reduce the Cat Hair
What a great little steamer brush for cats. It is ultra quiet, so after a little hesitation both of my cats love to be brushed with it. The bristles are softer than the old brush I had, so I don’t have to fight them to let me give them a brush. The push button hair remover is a great feature. Just brush, push the button and all of the hair comes off the brush in a sheet, ready for placement in the trash can. The first few times I used it, I couldn’t believe how much hair my two cats shed. It was three or four brushes full. Now it is a little more than one for both cats. It does leave the cats a little damp, but that is not a problem since it is minimal. My cats love to be brushed and them they run to their thistle rug and roll to get any additional excess hair off. The price is also reasonable. I had been looking at these for a couple of years, but they seemed so cost prohibitive that I passed and used a standard brush. Now I’m sorry I waited so long.

    Don’t Recommend
Cats hate the water mist feature. Using the brush without the water is pointless. It doesn’t collect hair at all without the water making it stick to the brush.

    Great value for low price
This is great for the price! It’s very easy to use, charges with a standard usb-c charger, and emits a lot of mist. It is easy to fill. You just pop open a hole on the back and add water. The button on the back is useful for getting the pet hair off. The mist that comes out is not warm, but it moistened my dog and cat’s fur. My chihuahua likes to eat the cat food and gets crud around her neck and this brush helped to clean the area well.

Hard plastic ‘tine’s, no lighting or charing indicator. But is cheap.
I have several of these types of brushes. This one has hard plastic tines, rather than softer (rubbery) ones, which my cats really prefer. The harder ones might have use with certain other animals with coarser hair, but these don’t work well on my cats.Others I’ve purchased have softer tines, led lighting for the ‘water well’, charging state indication – this has neither. The water reservoir is also just a plastic plug – no seal, no way to prevent leakage, and is not ‘tethered’ so will be easy to lose.I’ve also tried ones with metal tines, but they tend to bend and get caught/bent in the mechanism over time, so I only use those for detangling specific issues. The better ones – today – are only a few ($5?) more, and are worth it compared to this one.Except for specific exceptions where hard tines or low price is important, I can’t recommend this one.
