P. gordon –
So much better than the “uncaged” one
I have a similar toy that only my Maine Coon loves. (Because it makes too much noise and unpredictably comes at them is why the other two don’t like it). I don’t like having to watch where the older toy goes when he’s playing with it…else it decides to take a nap under the sofa and I can’t find it. Because this one doesn’t seem to chase him, even the Balinese cat likes this one. And, the 17-year-old even came to check it out. It comes with a little costume…I guess they’re supposed to be a bunny tail and ears. But, the effect of an animal is totally lost when it’s enclosed in the round “bag.” You can hear it, you can see the flashing light and you can see it moving, but nothing looks remotely like a bunny. The material is translucent and appears to be cat proof. The description says there are “peekaboo holes” in the cover. I didn’t see any on either side. BTW, I had to search a bit to find the Velcro opening on the side panel so I could insert the ball. Maybe I’ll put the other ball I have (it has a nice grab-able tail) in with this one so each cat will have a target to pounce on. It hasn’t gone to sleep yet because they’re taking turns “hunting” it. I don’t know how long the charge will last, but it’s definitely keeping two of them entertained, and I don’t have to keep an eye on its whereabouts.
