Easy and sturdy!
First off, the packaging looks quality! The instructions are in color with lots of step by step pictures, no extra tools are required they give you everything you need. Tested the hooks to make sure they fit my window before assembly, and had the thing put together in less than 10 minutes! It also comes with a super fluffy pad, but my long hair cat prefers just the hammock without it. Super impressed with this purchase. My cat weighs about 12 pounds but the box claims it can hold up to 40 lbs and I believe it!

Cute cat shelf.
I have three large cats and they barely fit on this. It’s super sturdy, and seems to be great quality. None of my cats fit on it perfectly, but again, they are pretty big cats. Each one will take turns laying on it though, so it doesn’t appear that they mind that they are a tad too big for it. Ha ha.

Tore on the seam
I ordered two of these and both of them tore along the seam within the first three months. My 2 cats weigh approximately 6 1/2 pounds.

Didn’t fit my window but still 4 stars!
So the hooks that go into the widow need a depth of 3/4 inch. Unfortunately I didn’t have the ability to measure the depth for the window I purchased this for so I guessed. I guessed wrong. I was really excited about this because it would be perfect for my cats. My stupid window ruined it.PROS: This was packaged SO WELL. The box was plastic wrapped so you know you’re the first to use open it. The box is small and well organized. All the tools were accounted for in a little bag. The directions are in a nice booklet on top so you done have to go searching. The bed itself is folded neatly and DOES NOT smell like chemicals!! Shipping was crazy fast, I ordered late last night and got it this afternoon. The wood is light weight but sturdy. I had planned on painting the wood white so it went more with the room.CONS: the metal hooks that goes behind the lip of the window looks like it could bend the frame after a while. You can see what im talking about in the pictures and video. This of course is not entirely a design flaw, but also a flaw of my window. STUPID WINDOW!! I feel like if this not a rounded part but maybe thinner and wider it would accommodate more windows and also distribute weight more evenly on the lip of the window frame preventing damage? Just a theory of course.Overall this is a very nice window bed for cats. It unfortunately didn’t fit my window, which I’m sad about. 4 stars because of the hook being bulky.

My cat can’t get enough of this
This little shelf became my cat’s new favorite spot. From here, she can hang with us in the living room while also surveying the street in front of the house! It was very easy to assemble and is easily disassembled as well, which I do occasionally to wash the fabric. The fabric of the hammock part is sturdy and thick, but still looks nice. With appropriate adjustment to our window, this shelf is really sturdy: my cat can jump into and out of it, and it doesn’t wobble at all. She’s really nervous about unsteady perches so I knew that would be an important factor. This is definitely worth the price, and I’ll absolutely be looking for a larger size in the future, to fit my big tomcat!

Won’t work on my window frames. My home is 12 years old. Also, my cat is 14 lbs. there is no way he will fit on the mat even if the hammock would work on my window frame. I’m bummed but Howie the car is even moe sad!

I’ve been looking for just the right cat window for my older cat she’s a little on the heavier side so the typical ones with the suction cups Just didn’t look sturdy enough. I looked at building them I looked at the ones that you actually attached to your windowsill and I didn’t want to do that I was looking for something I could move. Well this little item hit everything right on the spot with what I was looking for. It took me all of maybe 10 minutes to put together and hang on my window the pieces can come off to wash and my cat loves it. Have even shared your link with all my cat friends.
