This thing is the Bee’s Knees
This is a review on functionality, because I’ve only used it for the first time today with a young squirrely sweet, but bite-y cat when administering eye ointment. So far, it works great! I rescue, so I currently have several cats and decided to buy the large size thinking too big would work better than too small. It was the right choice! I found a short you tube video that didn’t go so fast that I couldn’t see how to apply it, and I was able to get it right the first try.I’m thinking about ordering another one in case it’s too small for my larger cats and maybe I can make it work by sticking 2 together.I’m thinking that for folks that find it too small, you might either need to wrap tighter like when swaddling an infant human, or it may be possible to stick 2 wraps together. This thing is a lifesaver, because I need to put ointment in 5 cats’ eyes twice a day for a week to 10 days with accuracy and without wasting the expensive ointment.I haven’t washed it yet, so I’m hoping it stays “sticky” and we get to use it for a long time. I’m thrilled so far with this purchase!

It actually works
I ordered this because I have 5 head strong wiggly cats who hate their nails clipped or taking meds. I was skeptical at first when I ordered this, but it works! I wrapped my biggest baby(14 pounds), strapped him in, leaving his feet and hands out and was able to safely trim his nails.I will say he still screamed and kicked a little but I was able to have a lot more control since there was no escaping mid cut causing both of us to be injured. I’ve noticed from past experience when cats have anything wrapped around their stomach, they almost freeze. This blanket seems to do just that without harm. The blanket is soft and feels almost like felt. It’s the size of a baby blanket or length of a standard pillow case. It comes with two straps that adhere like Velcro. I just got it, but it seems like it would be easy to wash and hold up well. The cartoon patterns are cute. There were no instructions which I think should be added, even if the company think it’s self explanatory. I say that because the blanket cartoon patterns and the straps that hold my little burrito secure are the same pattern and come attached flat on the blanket, making them blend in. Some may miss the straps, that’s how camouflaged they were.Since no instructions, this is what I did; took off the straps(they pull completely off, so you can position anywhere) laying the blanket down, cartoon side down. Put my cat in the middle of the blanket, then gently laid him in the middle and HUSTLED FAST with wrapping him. I made sure to get his middle secured by wrapping and placed the straps one on each of end. Then pulled his beans out and clipped.I’ve only tried with the one and biggest cat, but in all honesty he’s not my biggest fighter, so we shall see. Though since it worked for one and he seemed safe and not traumatized, on top of not hearing his nails clicking on the floor…considering a win.

Work as described
Definitely works if introduced as a fun wrap up 1st. Material is soft yet hold securely. I did as another reviewer suggested and introduced it to my fur babies as a toy to be snuggled in. They now lay peacefully in it when I clip their nails. I would rate it higher however my 9lbs babies barely fit securely.

I’m happy, the cat – not so much. Escape was impossible!
Perfect purrito blanket! This thing is amazing, it’s like magic! It sucks to itself as soon as the backside touches the front side. The 2 extra pieces were perfect for extra restraint on my less than pleased Russian Blue. It was so easy to use, i just laid it on my lap and waited for the car to jump up on me. As soon as she laid down I swaddled her like a baby, pulled out the paw I needed and started clipping her nails. She was furious, but she couldn’t wiggle out of it, the harder she tried, the tighter the blanket gripped. When I was finished, the blanket from itself no problem, it really is crazy how well it worked. For reference my cat is not petite, she’s almost 12 pounds of healthy not chubby cat. Not to mention she was peeved and trying to escape the whole time, with zero success…The material is very soft, nothing scratchy or rough about it.

Cat swaddle wrap
I have to admit I was skeptical about how this wrap would hold together without actual velcro. But it does. it has the texture of a shammy kind of or cloth you would clean with…on the “sticky” side. And is a little softer on the side with design. I have no idea what kind of magic is going on here, but this does really work. Once you get your pet swaddled in it (hard part lol), it will stick closed. The large comes with two additional straps of the fabric in case you need that to trap your cat in there, I am working on getting my cats in it in the correct position to trim their claws. They both hate it. And I end up scratched half the time. This is very neat and useful. And really does stick closed somehow. Super cool.

Works purrfectly but make sure your cat doesn’t lie about her weight!
Our skittish cat hates to be groomed and while she always tries not to scratch, we can rarely keep her contained for her manicure. We saw this swaddle and loved the idea of a self adhering wrap that doesnt have the distressing sound of velcro or snaps. The self cling is REAL. I cannot figure out how it works, but it does! The material is thick but soft and will keep a snug secure fit. Unfortunately, our girl gained some weight and didn’t share. She weighs 11.5 lbs and the Medium was long enough but too narrow around her belly. We should have gotten the large. We used the two small straps (supposedly for cuffing the cat’s feet) to secure the edges like putting tape on a giftwrap! Lol!This purrito wrap is definitely worth it. Planning to get the Large one right after posting this review!
