Pleasantly surprised. My cats took possession right away. Somewhat easy to put together. Initally had trouble pushing the support bumps through the holes, but after the first 2 or 3 it got easier. The only downside is they started fighting over who sleeps inside or on top, so now I have to buy a second one.

Cat puuurfect
My cats love this! It is strong enough to hold my quite portly 20+ lb male cat and also roomy enough inside for him if thats where he wants to go. My female cat is smaller so it fits her perfectly also but she rarely gets to use it because the male refuses to share with her. Durable material so far is standing up to their claws with no visible signs that they even scratch at it. I’m going to order another soon since they can’t seem to share 😊

Once this is put together, it is cute and the cats like it a lot. If you have more than one cat having 2 holes for the cats to go in and out of may save a lot of hisses. When there is only one entrance, one cat can get trapped by another kitty that wants use a covered cat bed.The biggest negative is putting it together. There are only three parts to do, and no screws or tools needed. So what is the issue? The directions are not clear as to exactly where to start putting it together. At least not to me. I finally made sense of where to start by looking multiple times at the illustrations. It took quite a while to figure out how to line up the holes and insert the tabs. Once that was done correctly, it went together easily.I also used a pair of plyers to grab the tab once I had it pushed through the hole a little as the tabs were difficult to grab and pull. With the plyers it pulled through easily.I put the thick pad for the roof and the thin pad for the floor. That seemed to make the most sense in case a “chunky” cat wanted to sit on top.

Cats just know what they like…and don’t
Not hard to put together, but not as sturdy or rigid as you might expect. After assembly, I put it outside for a day to remove any smells my two cats might detect. Then I placed it indoors in a heavily tracked area of the Den. ONE sniff, two sniffs. That was all the interest. I suspect the materials used, plus design, were a no-go. I’m no cat, but it wouldn’t have excited me either. This product, to me at least, falls into the category of “seemed like a good idea at the time.”

TLDR at end (I waffle on and add back story that’s probably useless and not everyone wants a review novel).A couple of months ago I purchased a cat house/play furniture/whatever you call it very similar to this – in its material and how it’s put together anyways. The other one looked like a treadmill with curves on the straight sides. Absolute nightmare to put together, especially on the added curves. I really wanted to have a tantrum like a 3 year old but managed to restrain myself to a teenager tantrum (more bad words, less flailing on the floor) I swore I’d never buy another cat item like that again, probably in my review too. Yet here we are.My cats love that treadmill. Not only do I still resent it but it’s also not the most attractive thing. This one however.. the vibrant green caught my eye and the opposing white made it look very attractive. I hesitated.. did I really want to do this again just for a prettier piece? This one appeared to be easier just based on its more streamlined shape. Crossed my fingers and ordered it.So I told that story to tell this story (cause I can’t be the only one who bought that treadmill, nearly threw it away 7 times while putting it together and wondered if this one was easier): This is sooooo easy to put together. Took me less than 5 minutes. It is smaller than the treadmill but that took me an hour so size isn’t everything. The straight walls definitely help on this. But what helps the most is that the tabs don’t have anchors that need to be mashed through the holes. That might actually be a bad thing cause the anchors kept the treadmill tabs from sliding back through the hole. But we’ll see. So far no tabs have slipped. And needless to say the cats love this one too.Definitely recommended.TLDR: Cats love this and it’s easy to put together. Recommended.
