Review of Chuckit! Air Fetch Stick Dog Toy, Small, OrangeMy best friend came all the way from Florida to Indiana to get a German Shepherd to have trained as a service dog for some medical issues. I ordered this as a gift for the little guy to start out with. Being a puppy, his attention span is short, but he really likes it. He likes to chew of course, and this lets him do that and we know it allows him to breathe easily too. He likes to shake it around. It seems as though it should last him a while. I trust and have great experiences with the Chuckit brand. Wore himself out.

Hours of endless fun
My Entlebucher will play for hours and hours with this toy!Pros: the holes allow easy breathing while running and holding it in her mouth. It’s soft and squishy which is great because my dog chipped her canine tooth on a hard toy last year and is banned from hard toys now. One of these bones will last a few months of daily play with an enthusiastic dog. Even when some of the center parts rip from enthusiastic biting, the toy is still intact and lasts a long time.Cons: We have to actively monitor the dog with this toy. It has to be constant fetch/retrieve. If we let her have it on her own, she will EAT it. I don’t know if it tastes good or what? But she has managed to eat parts of these in the past. Thankfully, she has passed the parts (which makes easy ID in the yard due to bright orange color.)Anyway, it’s good enough that I have this on my subscribe & save so that I always have a backup in the closet if I need one.

Great dog toy that helps your dog breathe!
I love this dog toy and the larger version that Chuck It makes. It’s designed so that your dog can freely breathe while it’s in their mouth. It’s also soft and flexible which makes it safe to throw inside your house. I have owned these toys for years now and my German Shepherd has yet to cause any damage to it from chewing or pulling. They are easy to wash clean after getting grass on it too. My little chihuahua rat terrier loves this toy and the larger version and swings them around wildly. Please remember that when you are playing tug of war with your dog that some of their teeth may go inside of the holes when they bite down so don’t pull too hard. I haven’t had any problems but I can imagine that a big dog may not be able to let go just by releasing a little jaw pressure when you are pulling a lot against them. I highly recommend this toy!

Good fetch toy but not terribly sturdy
This is a good fetch toy for our 3 year old German Shepherd. Unfortunately, we’re on our fourth one in about 5 months. One important note is that the item picture does not match the actual item received. There are no nubs on the ends of the stick as shown so I’m not sure if the picture is a more solid piece of rubber than the ones we’ve received. The ones we’ve received are somewhat floppy and will tend to break apart at the cross hatches due to stress and the dog’s teeth. The picture might be difficult to see (she won’t give it up), but at the cross hatch there is a break in the rubber. This is a very floppy point in the construction.It really bounces good though when thrown 30′ and my GSD will pick it up on the bounce! She REALLY loves this toy more than the Chuckit solid stick we bought, but actually she has the same amount of drive for the Chuckit ball.

So far we’ve purchased 4 or so different Chuckit brand toys. Every single one has been a hit. This one is no different.The super bright orange makes this one easy to find even in taller grass. It’s light, but weighted properly and is super easy to throw long distance. Soft and really flexible, making it fun for the dogs to pull on, but it’s also super durable! We’ve had it for a few months and it gets used every single day. Zero wear so far.Highly recommended!!

Great Fetch toy for the water!!
I have a mass collection of chuck it toys. I love the chuck it line of dog toys because not only do they have a wide variety of dog toys, but the toys are extremely durable and good quality. They last a long time. This stick is very light weight, floats, and can be easily seen. I use it for fetch when I play with my dog in the water. She loves going after it and can see it clearly and visibly from the land. It is also very durable as my dog is a very aggressive chewer. The price was unbeatable. If you have a dog that loves playing in water, you must get this for them as it makes it very fun for them. At this price and quality, it doesnt get better.

I would suggest you get the solid stick (see in pic) from chuck it. My dogs have had one for over a year and have yet to ruin it. Just teeth marks at this point.

Chuckit Air Fetch Stick Dog Toy, Large, Orange
Didn’t last a day. My 14lb Chug ripped a chunk out of it when I left it on the floor. Was15″ long, now it’s 12″! It’s has a good weight and feel to it but not sturdy enough. This Air Fetch is more for what is implied, to throw and have your dog fetch it. I believed that it was a chew toy as well but it is so flexible that it can rip easily. That was my mistake so that’s why I’m giving 3 out of 5 stars. Didn’t bother returning as it was not worth my time. Was bought for less that 10$.

Hace tres años compré un Chuckit! Air Fetch Stick y es hasta ahora el mejor juguete que ha tenido mi perro. Finalmente después de este plazo comenzó a romperse y estuve buscando por todas partes otro palo de la misma marca. Ya no lo conseguí en México, pero me alegró mucho poder comprarlo en Amazon de Estados Unidos. En cuánto lo abrí, noté que el material era mucho más flexible y que el diseño era distinto, pero nunca imaginé que el nuevo palo le duraría a mi perro ¡un día y medio! Lo destruyó por completo en un rato, y puedo decir que después de tres años de uso diario e intensivo, el palo viejo está aún en mejor estado que el palo nuevo en menos de dos días. Tuve que quitárselo a mi perro, porque se rompió en peligrosos fragmentos, de los que se comió uno, que por fortuna vomitó en la noche. Espero que vuelvan a fabricar el palo con el material y la estructura que antes tenía. Era de altísima calidad ¡era perfecto! En cambio, el Chuckit! Air Fetch Stick actual es sin duda, el peor juguete que ha tenido mi perro ¡Estoy muy decepcionada!

Kann jedem Hundebesitzer nur raten, diese hier als Alternative zum Stöckchen für seine Hunde zu benutzen. Die Dinger sind einfach Spitze, keinerlei Verletzungsgefahr mehr und bisher unkaputtbar. Und das obwohl mein Schäferhund sicherlich nicht sehr behutsam damit umgeht. Tolles Teil.
