Florida Heat? No Sweat! Our Pekingese Approved Elevated Camping Bed
Our two Pekingese have a funny habit when we go camping – they always try to find a way to get off the ground, usually ending up perched on the picnic table to escape the bugs and ants. Over the years, I’ve tried everything from laying down quilts and towels to even purchasing a large grass mat for under our awning. While I think they appreciated the effort, nothing ever seemed to suit their royal standards perfectly. So, hoping the airflow would offer some much-needed coolness in the Florida heat, I finally decided to try one of these elevated pet beds. This particular bed measures about 40 by 24 inches, which comfortably fits both of our dogs. At about 8 inches high, it’s the perfect height for their little legs to manage easily. I was also impressed by how sturdy it is; even with both dogs (around 30 lbs combined) on it, the bed doesn’t wobble or slide when they hop on and off.Assembly was surprisingly straightforward thanks to the clear and well-illustrated instruction manual. We put it together easily in our living room. Our more adventurous dog immediately claimed it as his new throne, while our cautious one needed a little more convincing – a few treats served on the mesh did the trick! We’ve been using this elevated bed for a couple of weeks now, and both dogs have really taken to it, especially on our recent camping trips. Interestingly, inside the house, they still prefer the cool tile floor (which makes sense!), but when we’re out camping, they seem perfectly content lounging in the shade, comfortably elevated and surveying their surroundings. I have found it to be easy to clean by simply wiping it down with a wet rag.Overall, I’m really happy with this elevated pet bed at this price. It feels sturdy and durable, and it’s definitely made our camping trips more comfortable for the pups. If you’re considering a similar purchase, my only advice would be to give your pet some time to get used to it.

Very Nice Bed, Though Assembly Can Be A Minor Nuisance
This is a pretty nice and sturdy dog bed, larger than I was anticipating which isn’t a bad thing. Putting it together took about 9-minutes and was fairly easy, though connecting the legs to the bed itself was an unpleasant little chore and also unpleasant on the hands, it definitely requires some forceful effort to snap them in place (especially the middle set). Disassembly took a little shorter at 7-8 minutes, and was the even less pleasant task even though it was still basic enough. The legs were harder to get off (the middle one especially) given how sturdy the bed is when assembled (compliment) and pressing, in the pins to separate the metal rods that make up the bed can get sticky with some of them. But overall this is a really good and hefty bed option, and took nothing but a toy toss to get my dogs to go onto it. The bed is certain to slide around on smooth wood or tile textures without some additional stopping support (depending on how your dog will climb or jump into it and whether it’s against a wall or not). Given the hammock nature of the bed I’m absolutely certain my dogs will lay on it during the arriving warmer months to cool off.

    Great dog bed.
This is an easy to put together dog bed. The material while not super thick holds very well including a 135lbs, a 70lb dog, or a 50lb dog. It has held very well even through the rain though not intentionally left in the rain. Great size for dogs.

    The 5 Star Dog Cot
Firstly I have to say that his black dog cot is very well made. Each piece fitted into the next securely without having to fight and struggle to put it together. The overall quality of this dog cot is one of the nicest I have ever constructed actually. The 3 leg design I like, it looks smart and provides a more even tight fit for the mesh fabric top that my dog is resting on.The mesh top fits perfectly onto the metal frame, no struggling to pull it onto the frame. And it has a big velcro tab that you wrap around the opposite end metal frame. This is an all round nice dog cot, I didn’t think you could improve upon this idea, turns out, you can. It is worthy of being called The 5 star dog cot.

Broke after a month with minimal movement.
My dog is only interested in using this as long as its pushed up against a wall, just as a note. But it’s extremely sturdy, very quick to put together. The instructions are vague but not hard to follow – just please, make sure that you pay attention to what direction the holes are in or you’re going to have to spend more time taking it apart to correct it. Other than that, it’s fantastic. My 60lb pitbull mix seems to be enjoying it! The cover is very very tight and looks like it’ll last us quite some time. I do have a cushion put on top because my dog is older but other than that, it’s great.UPDATE: after about a month or so, this eventually fell apart unfortunately. My boyfriend pulled on it, not even harshly, and it completely tumbled apart and broke. I tried keeping it together with gorilla glue, hot glue, tape, and literally anya adhesive that I could find and nothing worked – the gorilla glue cracked the aluminum base, in fact. So it ended up being pretty much scrap. A shame! It was a great addition to the house otherwise.

    Perfect Bed for Hot Summers
This dog cooling bed was a breeze to put together—well, mostly! Assembling the frame took about 10 minutes, but a word to the wise: be extra careful with the orientation of the cover and frame, or you’ll find yourself in a leg-attachment puzzle (trust me, I learned the hard way!). A little mix-up aside, the only real challenge was getting the middle section legs to connect. The bars were a bit stubborn, but thankfully, my handy husband came to the rescue and got them together in no time. Now, onto the real test—our dog! Since this is his first raised bed, he was a little unsure at first, but he’s warming up to it. I uploaded a few photos so you can get a better idea of the size. Our dog is 70 lbs. Highly recommend!
