Great product but terrified my dog
I got this mat for my pup to lay on in my office while I am streaming because it gets so hot with all the electronics and lights I have to use. This product was very easy to use. Simply unscrew the valve, pop off the rubber stop and fill. It did make a bit of a mess so I suggest filling it outside at a hose, then wipe off and viola! I put mine in the frig as suggested for about a half hour. Not as cool as I would have liked but the material is extremely durable so that is probably why. Although if you are worried about it leaking or ripping I think it is totally safe. Unfortunately my pup was not having it. He was very afraid to stand on this water-filled mat. A great idea but I will not be able to use it and for that I am giving it 4 stars.

Squishy cooling mat that genuinely cools.
These work. It took a while for my pups to lay on these. But I know it was because they realized these are genuinely cooler than their surroundings. First of all, when you fill them, leave some space for displacement when you accidentally step on them. If I hadn’t accidentally done this, I may have burst these multiple times.I filled it and left it on my hardscape porch, in a spot which receives sun part of the day. The pups sniffed it and didn’t have much interest. But as the summer temps rose, I discovered them lying on it. I would be outside with the pups, walk back to the porch and they would be laying on the mat waiting for me. We have had really high temperatures recently, near 100°F, and this mat is noticeably cooler than the air and surrounding surfaces. Plus it’s squishy, like a waterbed.

Not what I was expecting
I’m conflicted about this. We are using this outside for a stray cat that likes to visit our backyard. It requires you to put it in the fridge in order for it to get cold. You put water in it, stick it in the fridge and then the cat can lay on top of it to stay cool. But it’s not gonna stay cool for very long in a hot area. I don’t feel like this would work in arizona or Palm Desert or anyplace that gets over 100 degrees. So far the stray cat stays away from it and uses the regular cloth one that we bought from Amazon. If the cat chews on it, all the water will come out. I think I’m more inclined to buy one of the gel ones that activate from pressure.

Great cooling option for all kinds of animals, water activated gel helps regulate temperature
This mat is great for summer days, I fill it with a pretty decent amount of water, then either refrigerate or just keep in a shaded area for my pets to use. Some of my cats aren’t privy to the mat, but others seem to really enjoy the relief it brings on hot days. I like it just as an option to keep everyone cool here at home, so I am very happy with its performance overall.

It worked for us. We have a little kitty friend that loves it. I highly recommend it.
This mat came double box, very well packaged. After opening, keeping it folded, I put it in the fridge overnight. The next afternoon, I added the water, pretty simple. I placed it outside the back slider door when I saw the neighbor’s kitty that visits me. She sniffed it , a few seconds later, she laid down next to it, then a few minutes later, still was still laying next to it, but put all 4 paws on it. Few more minutes go by and the top portion of her body was spread out on it. I was so happy to see her getting comfortable with it! Didn’t take her long to claim it, hehehe! This mat is made of a very strong, durable material and it’s adorable. Placed in the shade, under our covered patio, this mat will hopefully last through this summer season. I plan to catch a few pics of little kitty enjoying it to upload to this review. Highly recommend that you give this a try.

Interesting Cooling Pad, but for pets?
This is an interesting product. Reminds me of the old waterbeds. Look at the whole ad for directions, it doesn’t come with any. While it’s a great concept, I wonder how the pad will hold up to sharp claws or teeth? Not 100% sure. I filled it up, and am testing it out – I have cats, so it will go one way or the other obviously…..Thinking about sharp teeth, might not take a chance with puppies or kittens. Definitely easy to fill, easy to clean, but will it hold up to rowdy pets? …Hoping it works out, will come back an update after the two pets figure this one out. 🙂

Cooling Mat for Dogs
This cooling mat for dogs is worth the value. This is perfect for dogs who have double coats to help keep them cool during the hot summer season. It’s comfortable for my dogs to lay on and seems to be very durable.
