Geese, Your Goose Is Cooked!!!
For the past few years I have been battling gaggles of geese that usually come around April to May, sometimes in the morning, but usually in the evening near sunset. My neighbor has a huge back yard that is actually a field, and the geese like to land there and then waddle their way into my back yard. Over the years, I tried everything from running and chasing them until they would fly off (very tiring), an air horn, a bull horn with siren, to literally standing in my backyard sometimes up to an hour until the geese got frustrated and finally left, only to come back the next evening.I recently came across a YouTube video where someone is using a green laser pointer to scare geese off. Several Amazon reviews for this laser said the same thing. So I figured why not give it try. The geese came around 8PM and were in my neighbor’s back yard, about 150 feet away. I stepped out to my back porch and shined the laser in the direction of the geese and they freaked out and instantly flew off. I couldn’t believe it, I was totally stunned and impressed, all at the same time. The next evening they returned and got a little closer to my backyard. Pointed and shook the laser dot in their direction and they flew right off.This handheld laser is extremely bright and has really good range. There are two screw caps, one end is the USB charging connection which has a little blue charging indicator light (opposite side of the power button) is lit when charging and goes out when the laser is fully charged. The other end has a star cap that displays different patterns when installed, but needs to be removed for a single green dot. To unscrew the star cap you have to twist it counterclockwise at the base while gently pulling on the cap. Twisting the cap near the top only varies the star pattern.My only complaint is the threads on the end caps aren’t very good. The first one I received the end cap with the star pattern was loose and wouldn’t screw on, and could literally be pulled off. The top critical review for this laser mentioned the end cap covering the USB connection fell off. I received a replacement laser from Amazon which seems OK, but only time will tell.

Pretty well-made doesn’t feel cheap and the fact that it doesn’t come with batteries means it’s not going to corrode and be broken after a year. The laser is incredibly bright and it’s pretty well put together no jiggly parts or pieces that are cheaply made maybe aside from the plastic top which allows you to do the three moving designs. And literally the only reason it’s not getting five stars is because when I ordered it, it said it was going to be here three days prior from when it arrived and then as soon as the order processed, the date jumped three days.
