The circular wood platform piece has 4 impressions on it where the included screws attach to the metal platform. I’m not sure if this was supposed to actually come pre-drilled all the way or not because the instructions did not mention needing one, but I had to use a drill to complete the step. My cat was very interested to sit in it while I was trying to attach to my desk. The bed material seems really durable and feels nice. I had to use a rubber jar gripper to fully tighten the bed.➡️ Note! This bed is advertised in the description with a max weight of 45 pounds; however, the printed instructions state 22. I have not officially tested this difference, but I would think the actual max weight is actually closer to 22 rather than 45. I did find that this bed held better on a desk that has a thicker edge like the one pictured in this review. I suggest retightening the clamp regularly to ensure it doesn’t slip off.✍️ I had to edit my review because over a few days, the bed worked its way off when a cat jumped in it without my supervision. I was afraid this might be the case, but I suppose I was just in denial since this really is a fun idea.

Sounds a bit silly, but it’s great and cats love it!
My cats are always trying to get up on my lap to snooze while I’m working. I got this cat bed for my desk and positioned it so that it gets some sunshine from my office window, and the cats discovered it in a day or two. They love it! Now I always have one of them curled up beside me. I sprinkled a little catnip in the bed to make it more relaxing for them.

Solid little stand that’s pretty versatile
I like this as a cat bed but I might even just use it for an extension of a desk honestly. I don’t like the particle board material that the bottom is made of but other than that, it was pretty easy to put together and solid use. I would definitely trust it for the amount of weight listed on the listing. Not rickety at all.

I love the idea of this because my cats love to lay on my lap whenever Im at my desk. The parts seem sturdy but when putting it together was a little disappointing because Im thinking over time its just going to work the way you would need to accommodate a cat or I should say in my case…catsssss (6 cats to be exact). All weighing 6 lbs to 20 lbs. One if my cats loves the cat bed. Bowie is one of my larger cats. As you can see in the picture, he is a bit too big for the bed. My small cat will fit perfectly. Penny is the 6 lbs cat and is our perpetual kitten but is 5 years old. Even my medium cat Isabella Pepperchinni Coca La Renta is a bit big for the bed…but shhhh she doesnt like to be called big in any way. 🤷🏻♀️Its very easy to put together. It comes with instructions but I really didn’t need them. Its also very easy to install on somr sort of ledge or desk. I tried in on my kitchen counter. Was great til my cat got into it.Was great at first but then it started to sag a bit and Pepper was only in it for a few minutes. That means when my largest 20 lbs cat gets in…it just might sag a lot or fall down. He doesnt know he isnt a kitten anymore.Im sorry to say this is just not for my house of cats…dont get it twisted we will use it but we are probably going to have to make some adjustments to it to accommodate are big cats. Ya we can kick them off but shame on you for even thinking that! No one bathers the baby in the cat bed no matter what! 😏

My Cat Loves This – And So Do I
The most important thing I can say is that my cat loves this. He sits above my laptop and watches me work. Sleeps sometimes. Snores sometimes. It’s really adorable.The shelf was simple to assemble and very sturdy. It is easy to adjust, too. Everyone who has cats and works from home needs one of these.
