I wouldn’t suggest using on a large dog. I had to use a bit of force on my Australian shepherd. The locking mechanism gets stuck om almost every nail. You get what you pay for

Poor quality
I just received this and it is very poor quality. It has not been in my home an hour yet. I have a labrottie and he is 3yrs old with large paws. I went to use these clippers and it was very hard to hold and handle. I was only able to clip 2 nails and they broke. I had to put some force into cutting the nails also. I do not think i will get these again.
