Keep your pets cool
This cooling mat will keep your pets cool this summer season. It can be filled with water or ice water. You will love that it is water resistant and is easy to clean. Just wash with water and scrub stains off and wring to remove excess water. When not in usage, you can fold and store in a drawer or cabinet. The best feature is that the mat will stay cool for more than a few hours. The small is almost too small for my dog who is 12 pounds. Definitely size up! You can add more water to your mat than I did to keep it full.

Doesn’t stay cool very long, quickly warms up to the ambient temp
I filled the matt up with cold water and some little bits of ice.. but it just doesn’t stay cool in Texas June or even May heat. It was warming up after 10 minutes. I tried it inside and it was quickly room temp. My dogs also don’t understand what it is so they won’t even try to lay on it. It might be cooler than a canvas dog bed if used inside or work longer if you fill it with teeny ice balls or water and freeze it for a while. I don’t wanna try that hard.

Not sure really the best uses for this.
So the only instructions are in a single picture here. Which I didn’t find until I came back to look. When this showed up I remembered ordering a cooling mat for my dog because summer is here and he gets warm. However, when it showed up I was like ok, What now. I had to come back to this page and look and see what was expected.The Material is that like a pool raft. There is a very large opening that you can put a hose on. Basically you fill it with cold water. This basically acts like a waterbed for your dog. However, I was hoping this would be something for inside when we got home from a walk and he was warm. But I am not having a huge dog waterbed inside, where dogs nails can pop it. Also if you have to fill it with cold water each use, this is not convenient if you do not have a hose and a large area. Outside might be ok but really if it is outside it is as warm as the surrounding air. So it needs filled with cool water each time he goes to use it. I don’t really view this as overly practical. I did fill it up outside on the deck to see if my dog would like it. He tried it, he got on it with treats and some coaxing. However when left to his own choices, he either went and laid on the cool ground and grass or on his suspended bed in the shade.

Didn’t Last
I have used this type of mat in the past and my dogs have loved them in my N. Florida heat. For some reason my current dog refused to use this mat at all. She would crowd herself in to the back of her dog house to avoid putting even a paw on it. After a week of moving it and trying different spots I removed the mat to clean it and offer it to a different dog, it sprung a leak when I tried rinsing it off in the sink. Since it leaked after only a week of laying in the dog house I doubt it would have lasted a day with a dog laying on it. My previous mats lasted years with dogs laying on them every day.

Toy breed or small breed puppy
Price is good. This mat is small so it would work well for a small breed puppy or toy breed. It does stay cool but not significantly and only when used indoors. If you intend to use this outdoors, I suggest you set it in the freezer that way it lasts longer outside. This cooling mat is easy to clean and feels durable.

Great cooling mat for your fur babies
My fur baby loves her waterbed! She loves to stretch out on her belly to help her cool down. She has long fur and doesn’t like the heat. It is awkward to fill, but once that’s done it’s a great cooling bed of durable material.

Nice product, but the small is too small for my cats
This is a unique mat that is designed to keep your pet cool through the use of water. The fill port has two caps to ensure there is no leakage, and I really like that it uses only water. There is no gel or other filler that your pet could possibly ingest. One thing to be aware of is that the inner cap is a push-in closure, not a screw in. We damaged ours trying to unscrew it with pliers when our fingers didn’t work. (It is a very malleable soft rubber plug.) The mat can be challenging and messy to fill at the sink, so I advise filling it at the water spigot outside. Also be aware that the mat gets pretty heavy when you get it filled with water. It does feel very cool to the touch once you get water in it. The one real disappointment for me is the size. The listing said the small would be good for a cat. Not so. It is way too small, unless you have a cat that doesn’t like to stretch at all. Mine like to stretch full length, especially in the hot summer months. My cat basically only rests his head and shoulders on it. The mat feels thick and durable, but time will tell how well it resists cat claws. It does have a little chemical smell, but not too much, and it seems to be wearing off quickly. (The cats don’t seem to mind it.) Overall, this is a good product, but pay attention to the actual measurements and the size of your pet when you pick the size to order.
