Cooler then the surrounding fabric.
I was skeptical but I left this out on the couch with part in the sun and part in the shade. The mat was noticeably cooler then surrounding fabric. It’s no where near as cool as an ice cube like depicted in the image but it’s definitely cooler then it’s surroundings. That’s impressive for a passive mat. The part that was in the sun had the most noticeable difference. The part that was shaded had slightly less difference between it and surrounding fabric. I really think our dog is going to like this mat over the summer. I can recommend this to others for their pets.

The cat likes it
Well first of all I did not pay much attention to the dimensions so for two black labs this thing was pretty small. When I took it out of the package I put it down on my floor and put my feet on it although I could not tell a temperature difference between the mat and my hardwood floor I could between the mat and the carpet. I took it outside and put it on my deck on a hot day which my dogs did not seem to even notice it was there. I was able to get one of my dogs to sit on it but it did not seem to impress her enough to want to lay down on it. I have a blanket that is similar material and supposed to keep you cool on hot nights and although I can feel any noticeable difference with the blanket I do not feel one with this little mat. I brought it back inside and laid it back on the floor and I will say that my cat seems to really enjoy it. I’m not sure if it’s because of the temperature or just because he wants something to lay on and it seems to be the right size for him. So because my cat does seem to enjoy it I am giving it three stars but if you are wanting it to keep your pets a little more cool on a hot day I’m not sure if this is the best thing!

Decent mat, if your dogs will use it
The material of this cooling mat feels like good quality, and the non-slip bottom works well to keep it in place. Our smaller husky (around 25–30 lbs) mostly fits on it comfortably, though it might be a bit tight for larger dogs. Unfortunately, our pomeranian shows no interest in it at all. While the mat does have a cool touch to it, our home has tile floors that stay even cooler, so both of our dogs usually prefer lying directly on the floor instead. It might work better in carpeted homes or warmer environments, but for us, it’s not getting much use.

I actually ordered this for our other dog (not shown) but he didn’t get a chance to even try it out when I put it on the floor because Thumper decided I surely got it for him. He weighs about 16 pounds to give you an idea of the size in comparison to his body.I could have included a dozen photos of him rolling all around on it but thought the look of joy on his face in this one pretty much captured his opinion. He loves it! I guess I need to order a second one for his brother though because I don’t think he’s sharing it.

Dog hates it
Well made with rubber grips on the bottom to keep it in place but very thin. Unable to determine if it cools as advertised as dog hates it and lays anywhere else.

Cute but not cooling.
A very cute print on the blanket. Some light grippiness to the bottom that kept it from sliding. Very thin and light weight. The quality of the quilting stitching is pretty poor, with a lot of visible over lap or non connected area.While this might be good for cooling on a lifted bed to get some breeze going through it.I had it on the vinyl flooring, checked it occasionally, but it never got as cold or cooler than the floor it was on.

Perfect size for practicing “mat/stay” commands
Obviously this smaller-sized mat is likely not the proper size for a 60 pound Retriever, but after several days, it’s her go-to hang out spot. The fabric is a synthetic blend which is actually cool to the touch. I have no idea how that works. The mat is very thin, however this makes it ideal for rolling up and taking with us to appointments where we need to be accompanied by our mobility service dog.

comfy but not really cooling
It’s a nice mat, it’s a good size for my dog and it’s very comfortable. But it doesn’t really have the “cooling” property I was expecting it to have given the description and everything. I’ve gotten other mats that genuinely feel cool to the touch, and my dog loves them! I got this in the hopes that it would be a bigger version of those, but it’s just not that. I’m sure it’s going to be a more comfortable larger mat than her velvet ones when it gets hotter out though! She might appreciate it more then.
