Philo & Emma’s New Favorite Tug Toy (Even if It’s a Bit Dainty!)
When I first unboxed this Calibonbon Dog Floating Flying Disc, my initial thought was, “Hmm, that’s a bit smaller than I pictured!” The product description mentions “Small & Medium Dogs,” and let’s just say my Great Dane, Philo, and his equally enthusiastic pal Emma, are decidedly not small. However, any concerns about the size immediately vanished when the dynamic duo got their paws (and mouths) on it. Forget graceful, soaring flights across the park (though I’m sure it flies just fine for its intended size class!). For Philo and Emma, this disc has become the ULTIMATE tug-o-war champion! They both grab an edge, plant their feet, and it’s game on. The disc material, while perhaps not designed for a Great Dane tug-of-war deathmatch, is surprisingly resilient. It’s got a good bit of give, which they seem to enjoy, and it’s holding up remarkably well to their combined (and considerable) pulling power. The fact that it’s a “water disc” and “durable” certainly seems to be true in our slightly unconventional stress test. It’s lightweight enough that they can both get a good grip, and it’s become the go-to toy when they want a good, energetic game of “who can out-stubborn who.” The sheer joy and focus they have when they’re tugging on this thing is fantastic to watch. So, while it might have been a tad smaller than my initial expectations for a “flying disc” for my giants, its unintended success as a top-tier tug toy for two very large, very happy dogs makes it an absolute 5-star winner in our household. It’s proof that sometimes the best use for a toy isn’t always what’s on the label! Highly recommend for a good ol’ fashioned tug-o-war session.

Not Very Durable
This seems like a nice dog. toy and seemed well constructed when we took it out of the package. However, the dog shredded it and tore out all the stuffing in minutes. Not good for aggressive chewers. Never really had a chance to use it as a Frisbee or test it in the water.

Floats, Not Durable
I ordered this because my dog loves disc sport, and dock diving/swimming so I thought it would be a great addition to our toy basket. Unfortunately, this toy failed on all aspects. It does not throw well as a frisbee, it’s not balanced so it wobbles and crashes down. No biggie, it’s mainly a water toy. Unfortunately, it holds water, which will ultimately make it mold/mildew with extended use. It floats, it squeaks, it does all that. The worst part about this is that the way it was stitched makes it very susceptible to the threads coming apart at the seams. My dogs are not allowed to chew on these types of toys, but just with less than an hour of throwing it into the pool and being retrieved to me, it was threading out, fraying, because the outer fabric frayed, the inner vinyl fabric then ripped open and the stuffing started coming out. Less than a day this was used. I wouldn’t spend money on this unless they fix the way the seams are stitched to make it not pull apart.

Sturdy
I bought this to use as a frisbee for my dog. He isn’t too interested in it. I’m going to take him to a doggy pool and try it out in the water to see if he likes it better. Will report back.
