Fun for one of my dogs, but less so for the other dog
I have two dogs so I got this play toy to keep them entertained. One of them really loves to play with this toy to get the treats out. The other one can hardly be bothered to engage with it.I made the mistake the first time using it of filling it up with treats and having the access hole set too large. It didn’t take much time for the dogs to figure out how the toy works and then drained it of all its treats. Now days I am more careful, only putting in enough treats for a single snack session and slimming down the access hole so they have to work harder to get the treats out.

We have tried a lot of treat dispensers. This one is our favourite. It’s easy to adjust the opening to the size of the treats or to make it more challenging for your dog. This was an awesome option to entertain my dog and give her a bit of exercise on super cold winter days. The dispenser opens up completely to add treats (no more pushing treats one by one into a different treat dispenser!) and it securely screws closed. While small enough to easily be pushed around the house, its large bulb shape makes it impossible for my dog to chew.

This is a pretty simple design – which is great because there is little that can go wrong with it!There are two “globes” that this toy is made of – each hard plastic. It not a chew toy. However, you unscrew the bottom of the larger globe and you can then insert a quantity of dog treats. I just use some of this dog food. You just want to make sure the bits are not too large, because they will need to easily exit the toy.The top globe – the smaller one – has a hole behind a yellow band. The band its self has two different apertures – a round one and an oval one. If you rotate that band around, you will eventually find a similar aperture (hole) in the globe. Line those two holes up, and food will fall out as the toy to moved around. The trick is to make the two holes just line up, or maybe even a little too close together, so that only the smallest piece of food will exit. If both holes line up well, you just might find all the food gone in short order! The larger globe also has a similar aperture in the bottom yellow ring, too. It functions the same way – you have two different holes you can position over the hole in the bottom globe. You can select for round or oval, and you adjust the opening to allow just a little bit of food/treats or a lot. It will also depend on the size of the food/treats you are providing. The dog will figure it out, that in order for the food to come out, you need to roll it around. As the two globes are different diameters, the toy will alway move in a gentle arc – not is a straight line.It is easy to take apart every once in while, in order to give it a good wash. You can easily see how much food/treats are in the toy, and adjust accordingly. As the dry food/treats tumble around, it sounds like a maraca!Bottom Line – a good toy for dogs. It is just another toy in the toy box that will provide your dog with another measure of fun and amusement!

Great toy/feeder. Good quality. My little cavadoodle loves pushing it around for her food. We don’t leave her alone with it, but if we did she would chew it up and break it. It’s not indestructible! For what we needed it for, it is perfect. Recommend for dogs under 25 pounds.

Too fragile. Dog just crunched the top open and plastic pieces shattered
