Smooth not bumpy, 5 speed that works on different size nails
The grinder is smooth and doesn’t bump on nails like other grinders I’ve used. It’s not that quiet but it doesn’t bother my dog when I run it. It comes with a protection cap and has different slots to use on various size claws. There is a button to turn on a light and another to increase the speed up to 5 settings. Light weight and fits in the palm of your hand comfortably. Love it doesn’t take batteries, and you charge it by USP port and a C cable which comes with it.Even though it does come with ridges on the sides, it’s a smooth plastic that is a little slippery. I wrapped a few rubber bands around it and now feels more secure in my hand.

My dog is unsure about it
It will take my dog time to get used to this trimmer, but I like it.It took only a few seconds on each nail to round them nicely. And that was on a lower setting because she was unsure of it.I wouldn’t use it for a full trim. If her nails were very long I would trim them first with nail clippers and then round the sharp edges with this. Since her nails were recently trimmed I’m going to try using this to maintain the length and maybe avoid having to trim her nails going forward.It’s rechargeable, has 5 speeds, and a LED light on both at the end near the trimming part. There are 3 control buttons, power, light, and speed.
