High Hopes for This One!
I have 3 cats and one dog, none of which appreciate having their nails “managed.” I’ve traditionally used clippers, but they don’t like the clipping sound and try to move away which, on occasion, has resulted in a nail being clipped shorter than it should have. Therefore, I finally decided to try this electric unit in the hope that it would be less stressful for both my fur babies and me.Both these units are well constructed and fit just right in my hand. There’s also a nice weight to them, which allows me to keep a better grip while operating them. I was nervous to try these for the first time, so I chose Juicy, my most chill cat, as a test subject to start. The clipping went fairly well (more due to my nervousness than Juicy’s recoil), and he didn’t appreciate the nail grinding part much, so it took me a little while to complete the task. Still, it was a success, so I moved on to the others.By the time I got to my most skittish cat I had the process down, which allowed me to relax and appreciate the quality of the tools. The clipper is nice and sharp, and the gentle buzz of the grinder wasn’t overly upsetting to my pets. I noticed that the challenge was more about me grabbing the nails firmly enough so that the vibration transferred less to my pets and, once I managed to do that, the process went more smoothly. Altogether it took me about an hour to do all 4 pets, but I ascribe that to my learning curve and expect it won’t take nearly as long next time.In the past I just clipped their nails with regular nail clippers for people and didn’t file their nails, which meant more snagged blanket and clothes for me. Using the grinder now not only stops my babies from chewing on their nails, but it will save my clothes and linens moving forward, so I’m very happy with this product and recommend it.

Takes longer than clipping, but feels safer
I got these for a puppy that I’ll be getting in a few weeks. My concern when getting a grinder was whether they would be too loud because sounds like this tend to scare animals. Since I don’t have the puppy yet, I tested these on my cat, which I think is as good a test as any.The grinder wasn’t very loud at all. My cat was a bit nervous about the sound at first, but I was able to get near her without her bolting. I first touched the grinder to my skin, just to make sure I wasn’t using the course grinder (I honestly can’t visually tell the difference between the course and fine grinder). I then placed the grinder to my cat’s claws and while she wasn’t a fan of the sensation, she wasn’t terrified. I managed to grind down 3 claws. I will say, it’s hard to do any rounding with cat claws (or maybe just tiny paws) because I didn’t want to have the grinder rub against her toe beans. I’ve never used a grinder before, so maybe it has nothing to do with the claw shape or paw size and it’ll just take some practice. The added clippers are also nice and strong and feel sturdy. I like that it has a guard even though I don’t exactly know how to use it properly.Overall, as someone new to dog grooming, I think these are great for a beginner or pet owner who wants to groom at home or just get their dogs used to grooming.

Works well but my dogs still are not thrilled.
I have 3 dogs, a 17 year old who is used to going to a groomer and having his nails clipped. He has very high separation anxiety so I ordered this set hoping he would like it better if I trimmed his nails at home. He has darker nails so I am very affraid to use nail clippers. The grinding set worked well for him. I was able to sit him in my lap and slowly touch it to his nail a little at. Time and he quickly because more comfortable. The fact that the grinder is not very loud and cordless definitely helped. He let me do it without too much opposition but he definitely did not enjoy it. We also just got two new 12 week old dachshund puppies who are very small. I was able to just grind off the sharpness to their nails and I think if we do that weekly they will come to a point where it’s just a part of our routine. They were not against to having it done more just confused by the noise it made and the vibration feeling. The nail grinder feels very sturdy and well built. It is not heavy and well balanced when you hold it. It charges up quickly and I love that it is cordless so I can work on their nails anywhere. I like the different size grinding heads provided even though I really only use the small head.

Nice product
I recently acquired the Dog Nail Trimmers with 3 Grinding Wheels, and they have been a game-changer for my pet care routine.Firstly, the inclusion of three grinding wheels is fantastic. This feature allows for different levels of grinding, making it versatile enough to handle the nails of large, medium, and small dogs, as well as cats and other small animals. The different grinding wheels ensure that you can choose the appropriate coarseness for your pet’s specific needs, which makes the process more efficient and safer. The carbon-black design is sleek and modern, adding a touch of style to a practical tool. The build quality is solid, and the trimmers feel durable and well-constructed. This gives me confidence that they will last a long time and withstand regular use.One of the standout features is the ease of use. The trimmers are designed to be user-friendly, with a comfortable grip that makes the task of nail trimming much less daunting. The grinding process is smooth and effective, significantly reducing the risk of cutting too deep and causing discomfort to my pets.Additionally, the trimmers operate quietly, which is a big plus as it helps keep my pets calm during grooming sessions. The noise level is low enough not to startle them, making the whole experience less stressful for both the pets and the owner.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the Dog Nail Trimmers with 3 Grinding Wheels. They offer a versatile, durable, and user-friendly solution for pet nail care. Highly recommended for anyone looking to maintain their pet’s nails safely and effectively.
