Worth Every Single Penny!!! Don’t buy any other sleeve.
My boy Bucky recently injured is leg. The vet said it was a complete break. We were given two options: A really expensive surgery or a splint that would require weekly visit. I chose the splint. We followed the vets instructions as well as we could. Bucky nor his brother ever touched/licked the cast. We put on the trash bag when he went outside. But we could tell it was still bothering him. He would just drag his leg on the ground vs limping on 3 legs. Plus he just looked like he was miserable. The next visit to the vet, his leg was actually worse. The vet said that we had to keep him confined in a little kenal. My man Bucky is a sweet loving fun pooch, but he is also extremely strong. We tried a kennel… a few minutes later, he was out and sleep on the ground next to it.I picked up this sleeve in an effort to help stabilize his leg and add another layer of protection from water. It went on super easy. After a few minutes of him getting use to it, he loved it. He was no longer dragging his paw on the ground. Actually his paw never touched the ground. It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but there is a second opening opposite of the sleeve for the other leg. The other leg helps support the leg in the sleeve. So it’s more of a harness than just a sleeve. His body weight help support his injured leg. He’s doesn’t really have to lift his leg, the sleeve, by design, keeps him leg elevated. It always the cast to breathe as well so you don’t have to worry about any musty odors or moisture retention.Bucky is 77 lbs. We rescued him and his brother. Their mother is a pit, but i don’t know the breed of the father. I bought him an extra large based on the chart. Now here is the trick. When I put it on him, I thought it was too tight. The sleeve was so tight, I couldn’t get his paw to go all the way through and it really didn’t fit right on his chest. But the sleeve will actually stretch and conform to the dog. After a few hours, the sleeve has conformed to his chest and his paw was sticking out. It was more like a compression garment. It was really stable. It was so comfortable, that I could not get him to sit or lay down. He was chasing his brother like he was all new again. It so comfortable that I only take it off to hand wash it. He sleeps in it without any issue. Now I still have to put a bag over his leg since his paw is exposed, but I don’t mind that at all. They used really good velcro as well. I figured it would have slipped off by now, but since it stretches and conforms to the dog, you don’t have to put it on super tight. I haven’t had an issue with velcro or the sleeve moving out of place. Keep in mind that he still has a cast on his leg as well. It conformed to it. It not the typical velcro that your used to seeing. It’s kinda like plastic velcro. It look really durable. You will have no issue washing it either. The next vet visit was incredible. Not only was it healing, but the bone was lined up perfectly. The vet had never seen a sleeve like that. I had to show him the Amazon page where I ordered it. He told me to leave it on him as much as possible. It doesn’t really get dirty either. I caught Bucky rolling around in the dirt/grass. There was more dirt on him than the sleeve. A little soap, warm water, and just let it air dry. Now it will shrink back up, but don’t worry, it will stretch back out. I really don’t like saying that it stretches. As the dog moves, the sleeve conforms to that movement.Sorry for the “tall tail” LOL, but I had hard time deciding on which sleeve to choose. This one was a little pricey, but is it worth every single penny. You doggie is going to love it. Use the size chart. Don’t freak out if it’s a little tight at first, just give it a few hours, it will conform to your poochie.

    Great Product!!!
This is absolutely great! My shih po had a cyst on his leg. It was infected because he was chewing on it and he couldn’t have surgery until the infection resolved. This sleeve was terrific. You still need to rely upon bandages, but it completely protected his leg from himself. Surgery went well no cancer. And we used it post surgery to protect the site.We ended up buying a second one so we could wash one and still keep the leg covered.

    Gets the Job Done.
This really helped keep my dog from ripping his bandage up on his front leg. He seems much more comfortable wearing it than the t-shirts I was putting on him. He is wearing a size L in the photo. He weighs about 55lb.

So far, so good–sizing was odd but fits
I measured my dog’s chest, and it seemed the suit would be an inch or two too small. But, I decided to try it, and it fits! I then noticed that the sizing chart says one thing (24.8 – 31.1) and the product description says 45 inches. My dog is an Aussie cattle dog/German shepherd mix. not fat but with a deep chest and lots of fur. I measured her at 32-33 inches, but it fits fine and allows enough extra for a looser fit. So far no issues with her leg staples (she got them a week ago) but I may have her use the dreaded cone at night. She tolerated the cone ok, I was just wanting her to be more comfortable and to stop running into walls and doorways ha ha. One week to go. . .

Perfect to use as a “sling” when they can’t bear weight on their foot/leg!
My Brothers dog injured his shoulder (dislocated), he is a 10 yr old rottie and not a good candidate for surgery or 24/7 pain meds due to his age, enlarged heart and liver issues. I saw this and figured I’d try it out and see. I’m so glad I did – worth every penny and then some! His dog immediately took to it. He gets around better, moves around more, is able to keep his foot off the floor without dragging it.The quality is solid, feels like it will withstand several washings without issues. It was a little long, so I rolled up the sleeve (feels like neoprene fabric) and it stayed in place for days. The 3 days I was in town, I saw a major difference in his demeaner and comfort level. Please know, it is not just for “after surgery” or “hot spot licking” type cases…. this is a wonderful sling!Thank you for such a wonderful product, I hope you find this review helpful if your pup is struggling with discomfort and needs support.

    Worked great
This worked great. Our pup would not stop licking the IV site on his leg. We tried wraps but he still got around those. This worked!!

    ”results may vary” label needed
My dog is not a big chewer, but she licks like crazy whenever she has a small cut or wound. After she had surgery on her leg we needed something to cover up the bandage wrap so she didn’t have to be in a cone 24/7. This seemed like the perfect alternative to an e-collar. She is an American Doberman, approximately 55lbs and we ordered an XL. The leg was loose and stretchy enough that her cast fit through the opening with some extra wiggle room and the chest fit perfectly and allows for easy adaptability with the Velcro, which is strong.HOWEVER, it went downhill within 15 minutes. She was left alone for 3 minutes and chewed open the area where the leg meets the chest. It was really disappointing but she did end up getting a replacement and so far shes not been able to chew through the replacement. So I don’t know if it was poor material on the first one or what. But the second one has been fine.

Super produit!

Worked great for our pup over a cast. Kept them from biting at their paws. Worked well in place of the cone of shame. Pup was much happier.
