This toy is obviously great for tug, but it’s also great for throwing outside. Being able to whip the ball with the loop makes it easy to throw far.

Not for aggressive chewers
Lasted maybe 2 days before my dog was able to chew a piece of the rope to shreds. I bought because it said was made for excessive chewers. Not very happy.

Decent, but not for aggressive chewers
I bought this rope and tennis ball toy because it was advertised for aggressive chewers, but my 50-pound American Staffordshire made quick work of it. The rope didn’t hold up long, and she managed to chew through the tennis ball itself in no time. It’s fine for light to moderate chewers, but if your dog is a true power chewer, this won’t last. Giving it three stars because she did enjoy it while it lasted, but I expected it to be more durable.

Fun for tug of war
I got this for my 3 month old lab and it’s a bit big but he likes it. The tennis ball is actually too big for his mouth, it’s the same size as a standard tennis ball, so that’s not the issue, it’s his size, and that will change. The rope is heavy duty and no matter how much he gnaws on it, I don’t think he is ever going to chew through it. The rope doesn’t stretch at all, but this is a great tug of war toy and we will be using is for a long time.

Lasted literally 4 minutes
My dog is a chewer… and he’s a big boy. Having said that, typically toys will last at least a little longer than this. I’m only not giving this 1 star because I’m betting if you had a small dog this would probably be ok but the “rope” material is definitely not very strong and once Sherman got the ball off he had that in pieces in seconds as well. It seemed to crack and break, not very durable. We took it away from him so he wouldn’t eat it.

Nice rope knots and good design.
The design is good, and the dog really took to chewing on the ball and end of the rope. I had to take it away because this toy is for playing tug. We play tug with a lot of things and is one of his favorite games. He will tug for a bit and then lay on his side expecting you to pull him around on his side on the carpet. Very cool to see. With this toy he has pulled harder than with any other toy we have played with. He gets traction with all 4 feet and pulls for all he is worth. He is about 70lbs so believe me he has some power. Doesn’t do the drag me around thing as much with this toy. I think he likes the way this feels with the tug part. I took it away from him because he cracked the ball and shredded the end of the rope in just minutes. It seems a bit to flimsy for a chew toy.

Fun toy!
I appreciate the fact that this can be a fetch toy, a chew toy, or a tug-of-war toy. It seems very robust and so I think it will hold up well over time. The pictures do an extremely good job of representing the item. And it was a hit with my neighbor’s boxer!
