Worth every penny for 18 yr old cat…so thankful!
A million stars! Our 18 year old kitty can still jump…but in the middle of the night when she’s extra tired, I noticed she’ll sometimes bump her back legs on the bed frame when she’s jumps down. 🥺 Also, on the rare occasion she doesn’t feel well, she can’t always get up. Since our bed is her favorite spot, it was time for stairs.(Scroll down for tips on when to get stairs and caring for an elderly cat.)WHY I LOVE THESE plus TIP:*The purple is a perfect fit for our vibe.*The double zipper offers versatility; move the zipper to a hidden spot where it won’t scratch you or your furnature no matter where you put the stairs.*Our bed is a few inches higher than the top stair and it works perfectly.*Our stairs popped up quickly. I didn’t have to wait a day, they were up in a hour.*There is a strap on the back that I initially planned on tying to the bed frame, but for now I just have them propped up against the bed.*If it turns out we need stairs for her other favorite spots, these are the ones I will get. They come in various sizes and I like that I have color options.*As you can see, I have a night stand AND these are in front of that night stand. I was worried about where these would go and if this spot would work but it’s not an issue for me. I swing my legs off the side next to the stairs no problem.TIPS:*There are slats that you put in…the top slat in mine was nearly impossible. I should have put the slats in before doing anything else. I used a nail file to just shave a tiny fraction off the edge so I could get the slat started and then it was no problem.*I think a handheld steamer iron would help if it won’t fully expend or is too wrinkly. I recommend everyone own a steam iron…it’s great for ironing clothes AND helped with many random Amazon purchases. Mine was cheap on Amazon.WHEN/WHY SHOULD YOU GET STAIRS? I don’t recommend stairs until or unless they’re needed. Part of an animals quality of life is movement, so we intentionally create scenarios that incline our 18 yr old kitty to move. Bed on top floor, food on middle floor, littler down by the garage. If she starts having issues, we’ll happily change things to accommodate her in her older years. But I believe there are several contributing factors to her current health.1) A great vet and regular visits as needed.2) Dasuquin: It’s actually a supplement, not a medicine. Our vet says it doesn’t work on all cats, so we’re thankful it works with our sweet girl. At 16, she started to struggled getting on the bed and would miss. The vet suggested this and two years later it’s still working for her!❤️ She jumps on the guest bed and couch no issues and during daytime when she’s more lively, she still prefers to jump over using the stairs.3) I monitor her weight. She does well and her meds and the dasuquin work best if she’s within a certain range.4) Daily playtime. She doesn’t move as much, but she still asks for a few minutes of playtime. I wave toys at her and she gleefully bats at them…and sometimes even chase them.🤣5) Intentionally spacing things out to require movement.6) She can’t jump to windowsills anymore so we have claimable scratching posts in front of her two favorite windows so she can still enjoy them as she pleases.7) BONUS: she gets 4 different things all mixed into her morning wet food, including that Dasuquin. So, I got 1/2 ounce containers cheap on Amazon and use some of them to prep her morning meds in advance. I always have at least a week or more done up AND I now keep up an to date care giver sheet ready (that includes our vet contact info) so in case of emergency or if we head out for a weekend, the cat sitter knows what do and kitty gets the proper meds.RANDOM THING…ELECTRIC LITTER BOXES: We don’t have any need for an electric littler box, but if you do, please choose carefully. Don’t get generic or the kind that have a closing front door; terrible accidents have happened to cats. Instead research the proper options and if in doubt, your cat clinic should be able to suggest the safest options.

10/10 ⭐️
10/10 ⭐️ so happy I bought this! my Chiweenie has used steps before but since we moved into an apartment, she hasn’t used her old steps because they were sliding all over the floor. these steps are PERFECT— truly non-slip, the cardboard inserts add enough stability for her (~ 17lbs), and they are the exact height I needed for my couch! (for reference because I was nervous about it= floor to top of couch cushion was 18” & the 4-step set is PERFECT!)***only thing I would note is that if your pup is on the larger side, these may not be the best steps for them. they are made of “foam” (cardboard inserts on top of each step) & I do think would topple backwards with a heavier pup!***

Great fit, well made, my dog loves them!
My dog loves these stairs! aa my little guy is getting older and his joints hurting more and more he now relies on these stairs. they are well made, sturdy, nice fabric that is re lovable for easy washing. they fit perfectly for the couch and the 4 stair version is perfect for the taller bed so I use both 3 and 4 stair and wouldn’t go back. they help my little guy and that means so much to our family especially if it means longer life and more comfortable life with less arthritic pain.

Gotta teach an old dog a new trick!
This is a very nice set of pet stairs. I was lucky to snag them on a sale! I got them for my mom’s aging and chubby Yorkie so that he can continue getting up onto her bed. They are well made, light enough for my petite 85 year old mom to move, and they are not an eyesore. The incline seems appropriate for him, they fit well in the area where my mom wanted to place them, and there are grippers on the bottom so that they won’t slip during use. Now, we just have to teach an old dog to actually use them!

Long learning curve, but worth it.
It took several weeks, but these stairs ended up being perfect for my 15 year old schnauzer whose back legs are giving out on her. The steps are a little steep, but not too bad. The actual step pad is a little small, but again, not too bad. I would like to have a guard rail on one side because sometimes she falls off if she can’t get her footing exactly right. All in all, these stairs have been a great solution to helping my aging puppy get up on to my very tall bed. I’m grateful for any extra time I get to have with my pup, and these stairs will enhane the quality of life for her remaining days.

Sturdy and Safe Doggy Stairs
These are great doggy stairs! We got them for our elderly small dog to get up and down the couch, and he does great with them. I love the hard stair toppers that you insert into sleeves on every stair tread. I was a little concerned with the foam material that many other doggy stairs are made with, thinking that when our dog comes down the stairs, he might sink into the foam and fall down. But with these hard toppers that go onto every stair, he doesn’t fall down into any foam. They’re very sturdy. I also love the fact that the cover is machine washable and that it can fold down into a travel-friendly shape and size.

Very small & light
Very small steps – only good for very small dogs. My puppy goes up & when pushing off towards the top, tips it over cause it’s only very light foam rubber — no weight whatsoever. And my pup is small.Steps need to be at least 6” deep & are not. I can’t bang the product too much; clever design & zips together well; it’s partly my fault for buying o e too small & light.I need to be cautious about pictures on products as the ads can give the impression a product is larger than it really is — measure measure measureI’ll go w/3 stars but only cause it could work for Mayb 10-12lb dog or any cat — not larger petsI have no use for it & will donate it to charity.

The image with the Frenchie? That dog is a fraction of the size of a real frenchie. These are so small they’re almost comical. We use it as a filler in between the seats because we cant be bothered returning it. No where near high enough for an 11KG frenchie to get up on anything. seriously this is as close as it gets to misleading advertising!

Our 15 year old cat has arthritis in her back legs and hips and has begun to struggle jumping and climbing. These stairs have been perfect in aiding her to get to higher surfaces. Incredibly easy assembly. Slightly wobbly if a lot of force is applied to the top step from the side, but that’s to be expected as it’s mainly made of fabric and is tall; it’s still very sturdy and our cat feels very comfortable climbing them. She loves to sit on them too!

These steps are minimalist, relatively good looking, sturdy, and do the trick. They are my cat’s new favourite place to sleep in addition to a gentle way for them to get on and off the bed. I highly recommend.
