My two year old grandson absolutely loves John Cena’s Elbow Grease series and has them in a variety of formats-hardcover, board, paper and now magnetic. The pages hold the magnets securely and keep him happily occupied changing them around on the pages. After about a month of frequent use, the section for holding the magnets is still intact, but that is likely due to him being supervised whenever he uses this particular book, not because the compartment is particularly sturdy. The storyline in this one is not particularly impressive, but this book is designed more for the magnet fun and not a life lesson like many of the others in the series.

The book is targeted at ages 3+ – I can understand this because of the small magnets but the book could be a bit longer or have a bit more text. My 3 year old can use his imagination really nicely with the book but it could have more depth and/or pages.The very first and very last page are not magnetic so the magnets just slide off which is annoying, particularly considering there are only 8 pages in the book. The rest of the book is fine.
