Very durable and keeps my kitties attention for awhile.
The MiniInflat (Magpie) Flapping Bird Cat Toy is a hit with my 8 month old kitten, but not so much with my adult cat. I got it for the kitten in hopes that she’d burn some energy before bedtime, as she loves to do zoomies in the middle of the night. Thankfully she took to it instantly and really loves playing with it.The bird seems to be pretty well made, she usually destroys most of her toys almost instantly, but it’s been a couple of weeks and it’s still in good shape, it even has all of the feathers still! The battery lasts quite awhile as well, I haven’t had to charge it since getting it. The bird charges via USB C which is nice. It comes with a small bag of catnip (haven’t used it yet) and a string so you can tie it to a cat post or something, as well as a USB C charging cable. The electronic motor is removable for cleaning as well. Overall, i’m pretty impressed with this cat toy. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it’s a great investment and much more durable than I anticipated.

Good Toy, But A Little Overpriced
This flapping bird owl cat toy works fine. I own 3 of these now by different sellers (a duck, a large brown bird, and now this owl) and for the first 2 I bought I paid a lot less than the price of this toy. That said, this toy is very small compared to my other ones and the wings are particularly small, so when it flaps the toy does not bounce up and down like the other ones I own. This makes it less exciting to my cat. Also I was a little disappointed that this toy doesn’t make “owl sounds” as it is shaped like an owl. It makes a very high pitch chirping sound which my cat likes, but I feel like he doesn’t like it as much as his other flapping birds. It charges fine and seems well made, but considering I’ve gotten two other birds that were much more fun for my cat for less than half the price of this one, I feel like this one is very overpriced. It’s a very small toy and it just doesn’t do as much as I expected it to.Maybe if I didn’t already own 2 superior flapping bird toys, I would think this one was better because it does work and my cat does play with it, but I just feel like there’s other options. I’m definitely disappointed that the wings are so small because the wriggling/bouncing motion the other birds make is what makes my cat excited, but this one just doesn’t do that.

    Poor design
Well, this is NOT a robin. This is also NOT a sparrow as it says on the box. It looks like a toucan. In any case, the cat doesn’t care what kind of bird it is. That being said, my cats were not very interested in this toy. When it is going they did show some interest but when it stopped they ignored it. So the instructions say to “unzip zipper” but the closure is a velcro-type. The button to turn it on is ridiculously tiny and hard to use as you need to reach inside. The instructions also say to put the “cat mint bag into the side pocket.” Well, first of all there is no side pocket and, secondly, “mint bag”? There is a bag of catnip included and it does appear to be made of a fabric which allows the scent of the catnip to be smelled through the fabric the bird is made of. However, once that catnip bag has run its course, I haven’t seen anything like that to purchase elsewhere. Catnip usually comes in bags and it used as loose leaf inside toys. So this actually tucks into the area where the mechanism is located. Should the bag leak, it could get inside via the USB port and also fall out of the bird as the velcro-type closure is not tight. It also does the three types of movements sequentially. You can’t change it to what you want as it seems to indicate in the ad. Altogether, this is not a great cat toy for so many reasons.

    Decent toy, not my favorite.
This is a decent cat toy. To charge it, you have to undo the velcro at the bottom and plug it in. It charges fast but it’s a tight fit to get the velcro back together. It also came with a bag of catnip you can tuck inside to be right next to the electronic parts – I didn’t really like how that worked and didn’t put the cat nip inside. The bird itself flaps and chirps which immediately got the attention of my cat. The tail on this toy is a feather, so if your fur minion is like mine and likes to eat feathers, string, etc., you’re going to want to cut it off lest it reappear as puke the next morning.

    My pet LOVES this toy!
This toy has been a big hit with my pet! I got this toy for my nine month old yorkie puppy and she has LOVED it! She tends to prefer cat toys and anything that lets her use her hunting instincts. As someone who has also had cats, I can say with confidence that cats would love this toy! Right away my pet was obsessed with this bird toy and it provided endless entertainment. The bird is pretty realistic looking, sounding, and even the movement is great. The speed and frequency of movement is perfect for pets and should keep them entertained. The bird has held up well after lots of use so it should last you a long time. The battery life even lasts a long time. Charging the bird is easy and it is also easy to operate by simply turning it on or off. I appreciate that the on and off switch is inside the velcro pouch so that my pet cannot accidentally turn it off while playing. The on and off switch is easy to access. I also appreciate that the bird comes with optional elastic string so that you can hang it up for even more fun playtime. In person, the bird toy looks just like the photos. Overall very happy with this toy and I would recommend it!

One of my cats really enjoyed this little bird!
This little bird is cute and fluffy and makes chirping noises while it flaps its wings. It is rechargeable, so there is no need for batteries. One of my cats (Butters the Great Hunter) loves it, but the others aren’t sure about it. The instructions said you could put a small bag of catnip inside the bird; however, I am not sure if that was included with the bird. I may have accidentally tossed it out, mistaking it for a silica package. It is well made, however, it has feathers for the tail that my cat pulled out right away.
