I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son who has a 25 pound little dog. He never knew how his dog would come back from the groomers. He wanted to do the grooming himself. He loved the various sizes of guards for the clippers.

Works Wonders Though Pricey
I’m going to start by mentioning the only thing I didn’t like about this kit: it is pricey although it had just become more affordable at the time of this review.We used it for grooming two aussiedoodle puppies we have and it did a wonderful job. It was fast and easy and did not get entangled like another kit that we had tried recently. Also, it was very easy to clean. My rating is four stars only because of the initial price, but you get what you pay for and I wish I had ordered this before because the cheap one we bought was a waste of money. Sometimes it is worth it to pay more.

NOT CORDLESS!!! Purposefully misleading. Item itself is very high quality BUT WIRED.
Disclaimer: All opinions are my own and I pride myself on unbiased reviews that can help others decide whether something is worth it.This is REALLY pricey MSRP. For it to also be NOT be cordless/rechargeable is awful. The fact that they mislead people into thinking it’s wireless rechargeable is also unacceptable. The tools themselves are indeed very high quality. It’s WEIGHTY. Like quality material. Feels super nice to touch and hold. It looks incredibly sleek and beautiful as well. I really don’t appreciate them advertising this as being cordless and rechargeable when it’s NOT. It comes with its own proprietary portable CORDED battery (controls for the grooming tools are connected to that battery as well). Both the clippers and grinder WILL NOT FUNCTION without being plugged into their proprietary portable battery system. That’s also why they include a nice fanny pack for you. It’s out of NECESSITY. You have to wear that stupid fanny pack in order to use this clipper and grinder if you want any sort of freedom or control of these tools while working on your rowdy dog lol. YOU NEED SOMEWHERE to put their very clunky portable battery that HAS TO BE CONNECTED WITH A WIRE while you use the clippers and grinder. Making this completely not cordless and worse of all YOU MUST WEAR THEIR FANNY PACK TO USE THIS THING. It’s only cordless because you do not need to be plugged into an outlet but you definitely still need to be connected through A CORD to their heavy and clunky battery. The portable battery is the only part that is rechargeable and does not need to be constantly plugged into an outlet.While I would like to give it a good score I really cannot. I was truly expecting something cordless as advertised but it’s not. Even though yes, this is really nice and it actually does work really well. It’s still not what I would have wanted to get though. If I ordered a chicken sandwich and you gave me a yummy fish sandwich. Yes I really like the fish sandwich and it’s great for what it is but I still wanted the chicken sandwich that was originally advertised and I had ordered.

Premium clipper and nail grinding set
This is a fun and fancy dog grooming set. From unboxing to actually using the product, I just got the impression that Floof is going the extra mile. This set includes a shaver/trimmer (with length guides) and nail grinder plus a bonus comb and scissors along with a battery to power this set and other Floof products. There’s a nice quality fanny pack storage case to hold it all, or most of it anyway.I have used some cordless trimmers and nail grinders before so I thought that this set being tethered to a separate battery might be an issue. It turns out it was not. The battery is quite impressive. It reminds me of those big battery packs for power tools and, it turns out, that is a handy thing. This thing can power through my 3 small dogs and still show full power. That’s very handy as the last thing you want is to be grooming your dog and run out of charge midway through. Since you are tied to the battery and not to a wall outlet, you can set up anywhere. I sit on the floor with my dogs, but if you were using a groomers table you could probably put the battery in that nifty fanny pack.The shaver/trimmer is mostly what you would expect. There are 4 different length guides to meet most needs. There’s a turbo button that kicks it into high gear for thicker fur, but I don’t need that for my dogs. The standout here is a “precision trimming blade” that replaces the standard head with a tiny version. It is perfect for trimming paws, eyebrows, and snouts. Previously, I had to purchase a completely separate shaver for that so I love that this one can do it all.The big selling point for me is the nail grinder. I hate trying to trim my dogs’ nails as much as they hate it. I used to have a cordless grinder, but it just wasn’t very powerful. That Floof power pack is a totally different ballgame. There’s a dial on the battery that you can use to change the grinder speed, which is VERY handy. The motor is as quiet as you could expect, which I appreciated even if my dogs were still freaked out by the whole nail grinding thing. There are 2 openings on the grinder head so you have options on how best to attack the nail tip, which was incredibly handy when trying to get to a side nail. Best of all, there are little LEDs on the tip of this grinder that perfectly illuminated the spot you are working on. So helpful!One tip: to power the Floof accessories on and off, you have to hold down the power button for a few seconds. I worried at first that it was broken and then I realized that I just needed to hold it down longer. It’s actually a smart feature to have so you don’t accidentally turn the items on and off when you are also trying to hold on to a non-compliant dog.I’m VERY pleased with this set and would happily order other Floof accessories. This is a premium dog grooming set and I expect it to last a long time.

Quiet but pricey
The dog clippers work well even for thicker coats. I like this set as it is pretty quiet with not near as much vibration as the set we currently have. I do feel like it is priced slightly out of range compared to similar products.
