Nice cat bowl/hammock and it is washable!
My two cats have two cat trees between them, one with a bowl and one without. The bowl is the most contentious part of the whole setup. They both seem to prefer sleeping in the bowl and, of course, it causes cat drama. So much puffy tail over the bowl! At one point I had purchased a floor mounted cat bowl to hopefully mitigate some of the drama. Probably because it isn’t elevated or near a window, neither cat will use the floor bowl for anything other than a way to fling their cat toys into the air.I ended up attaching this to one of the cat tree shelves on the tree without the bowl so that both of them cat get their round naps on in the front window at the same time while simultaneously watching over everything happening in my neighborhood like a pair of gossipy old men. You could also attach this nicely to the side of a desk or pice of furniture with a three or four inch lip on it. If you have a cat who likes to sleep on your dining room table, for example, this could screw onto the side and offer a more sanitary resting place.The item is made of a sturdy metal clamp with a screw that you use to tighten it down. It comes with instructions with pictures although I found it pretty intuitive to put together. The bowl part comes in two pieces of half round metal which snap together pretty easily and then you basically zip the mesh bowl over the metal ring. This is nice because the other bowl, the one that came with the one cat tree, really isn’t washable or removable but this one would just require unzipping to put it through the washer.My cats are about 11 lbs and this has plenty of room for them to sleep but since cats like to squeeze themselves into little areas for sleeping, I suspect an even bigger cat, closer to 15 or 16 lb, would still find this comfortable.Your cat will probably appreciate this most if you put it close to a window so they can recharge their kitty solar batteries while sleeping. If there is a heating vent below a nice window then your cat should Really love sleeping in it during the winter.

So versatile and very secure perch for your cat!!
Our cat is obsessed with watching us cook, but we can’t let her jump on the counter to get close inspection. So she just wanders around our feet and meows or sits on chair back in living room and meows. This clip on bed is absolute perfect solution! We clip it to the edge of our island. Took her a few minutes of checking it out but now when we start cooking, the first step is attaching the bed and she hops right up and oversees our cooking without ever making a peep!It is very easy to attach and most importantly, it is very snug and secure so she, nor we, worry about it dislodging. Since then we’ve also found another wonderful use for this. We have an enclosed balcony and she loves to sit out there but didn’t have a perch. We attached this to the deck railing and now she has higher level command view to watch the neighborhood (or nap). We can now tell when she walks up to our kitchen counter or porch railing exactly what she’s asking for – “Put my bed up!”.

Sturdy, clamping desk/counter bed for cats
This cat bed clamps to tables, counters, and any type of flat ledge wide enough for the clamp to go on. It supports up to 45lbs, which should accommodate almost all cats, and it’s easy to assemble. The material of the bed is soft and washable. It zippers onto the ring attached to the clamp. I suggest putting some rubber shelf liner in between the clamp and the surface you’re affixing it to, if you don’t want your table, counter, or desk marred by a bare metal clamp. The clamp can be adjusted to various thicknesses, and should fit on most counter or table surfaces.Once in place, this bed seemed sturdy and stable. My cat Hazel tested it out. This was the only time she was interested in sleeping in this bed. Maybe it was the location, but she never came back to it after initial installation. Every cat’s behavior will be different, and maybe she just didn’t like it as much as I thought she would. The price listed at the time that I tested this product seemed a little high for a product that didn’t have a buffer on the metal clamp to protect surfaces that it would attach to.If your cat takes to it and will use it, this bed is a great alternative to get them off your desk or counter top so you can work without them being in the way. It will keep your kitty close, but will give you the space you need too.

Great stowable cat bed!
Got this as an upgrade to a non-folding bed, since having it sticking out all the time was getting in the way. The assembly was super simple: just snap the outer ring half in place and then zip the cover over the circle. Fit seems a bit shallow at first glance, but the material is a breathable neoprene type cover that has a give to it, so my cat had no issues getting comfortable and looked like she had a good level of support as well. The build quality feels top-notch, with nice feeling steel tubing construction and a nice smooth zipper mechanism to the cover. Not taking a star off for this, as its a problem all these seem to face, and the foldable nature does help, but if there was a slimline desk mount of some sort that allowed me to bypass/overcome the flared legs of my desk, this would be even better.

Great for Cats!
This desk cat bed is perfect for people who work from home who like to have their cats nearby them, but don’t exactly want to have them on their desk laying on the across your laptop or keyboard, it’s a perfect space saver and the cats can easily get onto it. It mounts to the desk without doing any damage to the desk, it’s very easy to install the fabric can easily come off, if you need to wash it. It’s good quality. Both of the metal frame and the fabric can’t really say anything about the firmness, because it’s really just fabric that goes around a metal frame, and the softness is about as soft as fabric around a metal frame. There is no extra cushion or anything like that. Overall great quality for the value.
