These work so well! The cats barely notice (and then I think they only notice because I’m playing with their paws, not because of the clippers). Before I had been using regular nail clippers and they were sometimes hard to hold while trying to hold a cat, too. Also, the regular human clippers compress the claw (which the cat feels) and often makes that clipping sound (which the cat hears) making it harder to keep the cat calm so you can finish the job.But these clippers don’t compress the claw or make much of a noise when clipping.I have six cats (I know…) and while I’m lucky about half of them are fine with claw clipping, the other half aren’t so chill about it. These clippers have made it easier and I can get several more claws clipped before they decide they’re done (usually only taking one or two sessions to get all the claws instead of before when it would take several).I’m thinking about getting another pair so I can have them in two different locations (a relaxed cat is often ready for claw-clipping, but if I have to get up to go to another room to get the clippers, then they follow me and are no longer lounging). The only drawback I have with these is the small size of the finger holds. It’s like using kid’s scissors. They will sometimes make my fingers hurt or they’ll get a little stuck and I have to stop and rearrange them before I can continue clipping. But, I’m overlooking that for now since they clip so well and less traumatically than nail clippers.

Excellent, easy to use, and my cat doesn’t mind it!
I am a first-time cat owner and made the mistake of using a human nail clipper to clip my cat’s claws when he was a kitten. I hated it and my cat hated it. While the human nail clipper does its job, it also assists in smashing part of the nail and causing it to later rip off bit by bit. This cat claw clipper was a savior! It cuts all around, is the perfect size and not cumbersome. Although my cat is a bit scarred by his bad experiences with nail clipping, I am able to use this clipper with much more ease. It is sharp and works well. The only thing I would say is that sometimes the tension gets a bit tight and I have to open and close it several times to get it to loosen…but I’m wondering if that’s because of the high humidity where I live. Overall, highly recommended.

A little hard to hold but they cut claws well.
I find holding the clippers a bit awkward but I have short chubby fingers and the finger holes are small. My cat is not fond of getting his nails clipped but sometimes he just lays back and lets me do the job without any protest using these clippers, especially when he’s drowsy and too lazy to protest. Other times he just wants to not be held down but I can still get the job done in a couple minutes. Very clean cut and beats using human nail clippers. I have never smashed or split a nail using these clippers as they are very sharp. After almost six months of use I can say I’ll buy another pair when these get dull.

At this stage the thing he dislikes most about nail trimming is how boring it is
This clipper is small, yet manages to trim my cat’s claws without splitting or crushing them,With my kitten, I lay him on his back in my lap and give him treats or toys to chew on while holding band snipping the particular paw. At this stage the thing he dislikes most about nail trimming is how boring it is. I mean, he could be running up and down the stairs instead! In order to make nail trimming as pleasant as possible, I only do a few nails at a time, then follow it up with treats, cuddles, and present him with a toy.On the other hand, I also have an a senior who hates having her claws trimmed because having her limbs moves around causes pain in her considerably arthritic hips and knees. I’ve tried to have an assistant distract her with her favorite treats, but that only works for her front paws, and it’s success is intermittent at best. Her hind paws get trimmed every 2 months and I have my roommate wrap her in a towel and hold her as I clip one paw at a time. These little scissors are small, easy to maneuver, and don’t make a sickening “crunch” sound when used. All these things make it far easier to quickly clip my senior’s paws with as little fuss as possible. And of course it’s followed up with treats and affection, for good measure.

So helpful! (Tip included for painless claw cutting)
My cat, Pancake, is a trainwreck. He bats at people and stratches the furniture despite having a personal stratchpost; but he’s cute and lovable.I could never imagine declawing any cat, so I bought this! Shipment was prompt and came in appropriately sized packaging. These “scissors” are small, and they easily open and close without much pressure. Snipping Pancake’s claws required little effort (apart from holding him down. After the first few times, he realized he wouldn’t be hurt, and calmed down for the sessions). These really got their moneys worth before we moved to my dad’s farm :)Important fact: Cats have blood vessels at the base of their claws, cutting that would not be ideal for any pet owner! Most cats have light colored claws, and the blood vessels are visable with the naked eye; so locate where the blood vessel ends, and clip a few cm away from the blood vessels.

Ultimate Touch Cat Claw Clippper
I rescued two kittens when they were just a day old. They were abandoned by their mother. They are now five months old. I love my babies! I have never had any cats, so I had no clue how they would react to me cutting their nails. When I received them I showed them off to some of my co-workers whose expressions were not of confidence. They laughed and told me “good luck, we will see you tomorrow with scratches all over you.” (gulp) I went home and waited for my kitties to be in a sedentary state of mind, and I started clipping their nails. These little things cut the nails so nicely and swiftly they feel very smooth when I am cutting their nails. Needles to say my pets did not make any fuss. I do not know if it was the nail clipper’s smooth cutting or my kitties are not bothered by my cutting, the scissors worked great and I highly recommend them.

First purchased from Purfect Post website which sells cat scratching posts that are developed by a Veterinarian. The website also sold these claw clippers which I ordered and have used for years. Very pleased with item and durability. You always need to be careful when cutting your cat’s nails irregardless of the good quality.

Good clipper, cuts my cats’ nails as intended. The finger holes are a bit small, so bare in mind if you are a person with big fingers. Pretty basic product with nothing to complain about!
