    Cat tested…Crazy cat momma approved!!
I LOVE this product! Basically, it is a purple glove with sturdy rubber nubs on the palm side and thumb. The wrist has velcro so it does fit most hand sizes. I find that it will probably be easy to wash when it gets to that point. I have two domestic long haired cats and one domestic short hair. This product works well on all three very different coats. Logan is my DLH and he has very fine silky fur which gets knotted so easily especially under his arms and legs. He is also not a very nice boy when it comes to being groomed. I used this on him three different times and he LOVES it! No biting and purrs up a storm! Orion, my DSH has thick fur and seems to shed the most out of all of them. She loves it so much that she rubs on it without much effort from me at all! Also her coat is shiny afterward! The secret of using this effectively is to do short little dash strokes across the coat. Then I like to do one big swipe across the coat and up the tail base to tip. Also, I feel this isn’t ripping their fur out or cutting it like some other products. I don’t feel comfortable using those kinds of products on them because I think it does bother them and they don’t appear effective. I have the zoom groom and it works okay, but they don’t seem to like it and I’m afraid of leaving patches in their fur. I don’t know if I can say you can get rid of all your other grooming tools, but I will say this is a great product for an everyday grooming situation. If the cat is extremely knotted it probably won’t work as effectively as a small toothed comb, but it does work for a cat that has no previous knotting and basic everyday upkeep of the coat.

A solid 4.5 stars, you can literally peel the fur off in sheets!
One of my cats sheds ALL THE TIME! No matter how much I brush her, she just sheds more and more, leaving hair all over the place. It’s never ending. She’s a short hair as well, I don’t know how she isn’t bald yet. I got the Kong ZoomGroom and the Four Paws Magic Coat Glove to try and keep her furriness in check. The Magic Coat Glove is pretty much a mitten that has a rubber pad with little nubbies on one side of it, where the thumb and palm/fingers are. You just pet your pet and the magic happens. The cats seem to love it, they think they’re just getting some good pets when really I have an ulterior motive of collecting the fur somewhere other than on my shirt. The Magic Coat Glove works really well. It collects lots of fur on its own, and even more when the ZoomGroom is used first. As you pet your pet, the nubby side of the glove will develop a woven mat of fur. Once the mat is thick enough, you can just peel it off of the glove in a sheet. If you find that the fur mat is breaking apart instead of peeling off in a big sheet, you’re peeling it off too soon. You can really get a lot of fur on there before having to peel it off.The only downside I’ve found, and it’s probably only a half star deduction really, is that the rest of the glove gets a little furry as well. I think it’s the type of weave in the material. It’s not a huge issue, and definitely not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. It just takes a little extra cleaning now and then. Even with that little quirk, I’d still buy this one again over one for twice as much that doesn’t get a little fur on the mitten part.If you’ve found this review to be helpful, […]. Better than a Furminator!!
i thought I was doing a good job brushing my kitty. She loves to be brushed so I usually do it until her paddle brush doesn’t pick up anymore loose fur. But then as she was shedding her winter coat she started having hairball problems so I tried the furminator. It worked ok but instead of purring and rolling around happily when being brushed, she would tolerate it for a minute then bite me and walk off. So based on the fact that she never bites me, I concluded that it was probably pretty uncomfortable for her. (I think it probably pulls too much) The furminator wasn’t getting much more fur than normal anyways. So then I had a friend recommend one of these mitts. I figured $4, what the hey. OMG it’s the best $4 ever spent on my kitty. I tried it after her normal brush stopped picking up fur and this thing kept picking up fur! After 5 minutes (all of which she spent happily purring and rolling around) it picked up enough fur that I might as well have made a new cat out of it. And this is with my tubby short haired lady- I can’t imagine how great this would be on a long haired kitty! Every cat owner needs one of these! Like seriously- I feel like the humane society should hand these out along with each cat. Best $4 ever!Edit: My initial review was from May of 2016. Fast forward 5 years (Oct 2021) and we still love the mitt. We adopted a dog during COVID who is very sensitive. She will not tolerate a brush at all but she loves the mitt. She thinks its a massage. So I’m back here to buy another because my cat gets offended by the smell of the dog on the mitt and I’ve also found it to be super useful while bathing the dog so figured a spare would be worth it. (we throw it in the wash after use). We’ve lost the mitt for weeks on end during moves and such and anytime that has happened our cat walks around singing us the songs of her people because she misses the good rub down this gives her. I see it’s gone up in price but still competitive with other mitts so sticking with this one!

    works well but….
when i first used this product it worked well. it always works well in brushing the kitty i have. the only problem i am having is with cleaning the glove. if my kitty isn’t very hairy at the time i brush her and i only get a bit of hair from her it is almost impossible to clean out the glove after i use it. when this happens i just have to keep the glove full of her hair and hopefully i can get enough of her hair out the next time i use the glove in order to clean it thoroughly later. other than that one issue the glove mitt works perfectly to groom my kitty and with her long hair the glove allows her hair to be shinny bright and luxurious looking.

Es muy bueno para recoger el pelo de los gatos, no a todos les agrado mucho pero cumple bastante bien su función.

My kitten literally purrrrrs as I’m grooming her with this. Even after brushing her with a Furmunator, this still managed to take off quite a bit of hair. What really impressed me with this product is those that shipped it! My regional shipping company somehow managed to not recognize my address, and shipped the original shipment back to the seller. Instead of waiting to receive it, they sent me another new box! Every time I contacted them, their responses were prompt and very friendly. I will definitely be buying from them again! Excellent service!

This is the second Loveglove I have bought in 10 years, and as good as the 1st! Perfect for grooming my cat who isn’t longhair, but certainly not a shorthair either! The loose hairs are easily removed, clinging to the rubber surface and the stipples are soft and gentle for your cat. Probably would say not needed to use on kittens as they don’t seem to moult til almost adult. Definately recommend as so much easier than combing and cats purr all the time!

Fantastic item! Cat loves it!The only thing is, you have to take a wet towel, or something, to wipe off the excess hair off the cat when you’re done.It really loosens the hair endlessly, so you shouldn’t leave that much loose hair on the cat, it could cause them to swallow too much hair, and cause hairballs.Glove really loosens up any dry skin too, feels so good on their back, he can’t get enough, and comes running when hesees me put the glove on.
