Still the best in every way. Soaking ability, size, shape, smell reducer, cats preference. PLEEEASE DON’T EVER TAKE THIS AWAY OR MAKE IT UNAFFORDABLE! It is kind of expensive, but I’ve tried ALL the others, so please keep the price down and I’ll remain a 4 cat owner customer for LIFE!

Fab feline favorite!for easy access
So pleased to find this product available with Amazon Prime! Fresh Step crystals have been an absolute favorite since it was introduced. I remember my mother helping me with my first cat’s (Siamese) sand box! Over the years since 1955, I have tried just about every litter system/boxes available. The fabulous felines who have shared my life (I’ll be 72 December 27) included rescues, just arrivals and pure breeds. Persians with their long silky fur to those beloved domestic short/long hair have chosen Fresh Step when offered a choice. Doesn’t irritate pads or stick to paws, furry tails or bottoms. I find the scent very agreeable (fresh and clean) . . . much better than toilet bowl cleaners! One little lady has long fur with a fluffy tail and she is meticulous in her grooming ritual (especially after being brushed). Now add a big gal that’s a domestic short hair calico so I need litter that they will share. They have a triangular low side (lower step in area) litter box (available on Amazon). The calico enjoys seeing just how much litter she can scatter and the other is more concerned about her elegant puffy tail.One bag of litter will last 3 weeks (change it once a week, need it or not) — I use a third of the bag at a time (just right for that inch and a half depth) for their size box. Since I have an extra bathroom their box is in the shower. Guests may need to use the bathroom but no one has recognized that the decorative shower curtain allows for feline privacy! For best results, remember to scoop and stir every day . . . your feline/felines will thank you!Multiple cats? How much time/effort for cat care? Eight cats and two large hooded litter boxes . . . too many cats per litter box (or just too many cats)? Half of a bag for each box and changed once a week wasn’t unreasonable. Three males (neutered) and five females (spayed) had no complaints. Interesting behavior: the males choose one box and the females choose the other one. The boxes were scooped and stirred twice a day. Their boxes were kept in a large bathroom for easy access. Keep in mind that diet and water intake need to be considered. I prefer Science Diet or Iams. Drinkwell water fountains offer easy access to water. It may take a bit more time to keep all this clean but it keeps cats healthy and contented. Over the years I’ve come to realize that my felines’ personalities were as different as those of my friends.Reviews and questions/answers give Amazon a user friendly shopping experience. ever since ive had my babies (twin cat sisters) i picked this bag accidentally to be 100% honest. was new to the world of litter. however when this bag ran out and i went to buy the same thing, it was out of stock which is what it usually is where i live, OUT OF STOCK! so i went and bought another crystals litter for the time being, not thinking much! and lo behold my babies jumped in and out of the litter the whole day but would not do their business! finally end of day i started to get worried and called all the possible stores that could have it, found one at the other end of where i lived, hastily drove there and my babies appreciate the effort well! (if you know what i mean)so, to sum it up… its been 4.5 years now and never tried any other litter because i simply know THIS IS THE BEST! most expensive yes, but BEST and worth every dime. no smell, no wet clumps, no blocks and chunks of litter that completely become a rock and you have to change the entire litter every week!! babies LOVE it! runs for min 3 weeks up to 4 weeks 1 bag of 4 lb in a household of 2 babies WITHOUT ANY SMELL!now i stock up a carton of 8 bags at a time and for the first time have run out of my home stock waiting for stock to arrive in the store which does not arrive till august end hence ordered this online on amazon! cant wait for it to get here!!!ordering cat litter from amazon in emergency! yes, because my babies & this litter are WORTH IT!

formula may have changed but still works
for a while the Fresh Step Crystal Litter wasn’t available anywhere so I was glad to see it again. As of Feb 2025 I think the formula may have changed but it still works. The crystals are a little bigger and the urine odor may be a little stronger or that could be my imagination. It has gotten really expensive so I’m not sure if I’ll keep buying it but it’s still light so easy to carry the bags, and it does last longer between changes than clumping litters (I usually change every 2 weeks).

Walmart sell them for cheaper.
These crystals work great we have two cats and in a semi trailer it would have been a punishment to smell bad. But a few minutes after they have done their business the smell is totally gone.

This litter is life-changing!
I have two cats sharing one litter box, and any time one of them would poop it would stink up the entire room until it was scooped, so I’d come home in the evening to the smell of cat s**t. The beauty of crystal litter is that it dries out the feces, thereby removing its horrible pungency. It also does a fairly good job of trapping the urine smell by pulling the urine into the crystals via capillary action. This litter also doesn’t seem to track nearly as much as the clay litters do, and when coupled with my top entry litterbox (I bought the Clever Cat Top Entry Litterbox from amazon) it has greatly reduced the frequency of sweeping that needs to be done around the box. Finally, the thing that separates Fresh Step from other brands of crystal litter is the size of the crystals. I tried the crystal Pearls, and they were too big for my scooper slits. The micro pearls were too dusty. The Fresh Step crystals are just right!With two indoor cats I use an 8 pound bag every 3 weeks. Also, I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment building (no elevator), so not having to deal with a 25 lb. box of clay litter (or emptying a urine-soaked ton of litter every week) makes my life immeasurably easier.

Bonne qualité mais le produit ne semble pas le même que la version en petite bouteille de 15oz. Beaucoup moins parfume, semble avoir plus de cristaux transparent. Donc si le prix est plus intéressant au poids, il semble que la différence se fasse au dépend de la qualité. Décevant par rapport au produit original testé

These did the trick and it’s an 8 lb bag so fairly equivalent to the petsafe crystals that we get but seemed more expensive.
