Great for older achy digger dogs
I bought Jumbo size for the 4” egg-crate orthopedic foam (knowing it would compress) and indoor/outdoor cover. My 12yo, 40 lb Australian Shepherd has achy joints (IVDD, arthritis) and difficulty getting comfortable. He has a selection of beds to choose from (memory, flat, elevated cool, old bolster orthopedic), but needed something else. PROs—huge, has handle (easy to move outside and back in), not a hair magnet, diggable without tearing (so far), zipper is covered, good green color, water & mud wipe/clean easily, affordable, immediately useable, can buy another cover. CONs—Bought additional water-proof inner liner to better protect foam (helps?), initially really loud crinkly sound that’s mellowed a bit but doesn’t bother me or the dog, packaging was not optimal (gigantic box with bed loosely folded in partially zipped cover). The egg crate foam spikes for jumbo are 2”, which is why I went w/ jumbo (4”thick overall) rather than large (3”thick). For younger dogs who chew on beds, this seems tough. My dog no longer is a chewer but was and I never found truly “chew-proof” plush things. He never destroyed beds though. Overall we are pleased—less effort to get comfortable. I plan to get another in Large to take to classes with us. I definitely recommend this particular bed.

perfect for my arthritic granddog
I bought this (orthopedic) for my arthritic 12 1/2 year old lab granddog. His hips hurt too and it doesn’t bother his hips as much when he lays down on this orthopedic bed- compared to a carpeted floor. I’m so happy with this I’m going to buy the memory foam one for Dakota. Everything about this dog bed is outstanding. I sew and the construction of the bed’s cover is made very well (and it’s washable, too). Love this product and the company.

Easy to shred
Product was noisy due to the material. Thought my dog loved it but she destroyed it within a week so definitely don’t buy if you want something durable.

Cover’s waterproof layer fully deteriorated 4 months in
Just outside of their 90 day warranty too – we had washed the cover once on recommended settings, and let our lab use it for a few months. Went to wash it again after about 4 months and the interior rubberized waterproofing membrane was fully shredded to dust inside the cover. It was completely unusable and hadn’t even been chewed on or soiled. We aren’t even able to reuse the foam pad inside because the deteriorated rubber crumbs have fully coated it and we are unable to get it clean. Pretty disappointing considering cost, and product description.

Waterproof yes, durable no
My dog im sure is a special case here, my dog profusely drools in his kennel from his separation anxiety, this bed 110% is waterproof been the only bed so far that kept the internal bed dry, so if you need a waterproof bed this is an amazing bed. My dog also throws beds around in his kennel doesnt rip it or chew it just digs and moves it around. So this bed was tore up pretty much the first day. I sewed it as much as I could before it was beyond saving. The bed in the way of durability for a destructive dog would not recommend it’ll be tore up rather quickly and mine was just moving it around and digging at it. I can’t say what a chewer would do to it.

We have an older LGD that recently retired to the house, so far he loves it and it keeps him off the couch. It is definitely big enough for the polar bear to stretch out and rest. The good news is this bed is so big and so comfortable it might just make a great guest bed.

This foam is outstanding. It is as firm and formed as the day we bought it. Sadly, the water resistant cover has not stood the test of time. We bought this in June 2020 (it’s now July 2024). It has been stored indoors over the winter and in Canada our outdoor season is very short, therefore actual usage has not been much at all. One side of the cover is almost perfect, the other side has little tears and some rippling. I looked online for a replacement cover from furhaven but they run around $70 for the largest size and the largest size in water resistant is not available. It has definitely faded overtime as well (last pic is most accurate colour as camera and shade drastically changes the colour). My guess is that although water resistant, it deteriorates in the sun. I hope I need a really big piece of foam soon!

First anyone who orders this bed it is 10cm width not 13cm as stated.This is after the 72hrs recommended for foam expansion, the stain on cover looks like dried mud stain. The foam will not expand as if a heat source that shrink rapped the plastic bag it arrives in melted the foam.

La cama es muy delgada, no tiene ni 10cm de altura, no brinda soporte. Una cama de 100x70cm es para un perro grande y esta no tiene nada de relleno, nada de firmeza. La funda está super delgada, no duró ni un día cuando mi perro con sus garras la rompió. A eso sumarle el elevado precio. No la recomiendo para nada.
