Geib Gator Stainless Steel Pet Curved Shears, 10-Inch

$79.99

Each gator shear is manufactured from a high-quality stainless steel alloy with a rockwell hardness rating of 57. This alloy allows the blade to be honed to razor sharpness and keeps blades sharp for months. Shears are precision weighted and balanced. Handles and finger rests are contoured for maximum comfort. Double screw tension produces smooth scissoring. These features combine for a shear that drastically reduces the amount of effort needed for scissoring. The result is an increase in productivity and a reduction in hand fatigue. The curved gator shears measures 10-inch. Curved blade helps in the shaping of top knots, tails, feet, etc.

    Sharp and Comfortable Shear
Very comfortable and balanced. I have been told that these high quailty shears are a must have for professional pet groomers. I will update my review after further use and am open to reviewing other pet products. Please contact me with recommendations.

Great shears but there is room for improvement.
They are sharp through out the entire length of the cutting edge. It cuts the hair like hot knife through butter. However they are heavy and have small finger holes. I have small hands and they have a snug fit. The rubber at the finger holes are rough and should have a better finish for such an expensive shear.

    Not sharp
Brand new scissors should be sharp. Now I am ordering a sharpening stone and looking videos on how to do it. I guess I should have bought cheaper ones since these aren’t good to go.

    Came damaged
I absolutely love the brand but these came in a package with a couple blades. The scissors weren’t wrapped up or anything they were just out in a mailer with the blades unfortunately the shank and ring handles got damaged. I’m surprised the rest of it wasn’t. They cut fine but if I’m paying almost 100 bucks for scissors I’d think they would be packaged correctly so to not get damaged.

    Great scissors
    Gators are awesome

Check to be sure these scissors fit your fingers!
Purchased these to replace a pair of Misaki scissors that I’ve dropped too often to realign anymore. Geib scissors get excellent reviews, and I use curved shears regularly to groom a large standard poodle. These looked like they’d do the job perfectly. But, I’m a guy, and have long, but not particularly fat fingers. I could not get my fingers in the finger holes on these shears. These may work well for a woman or man with smaller hands/fingers, but not for me (pink inserts should have been a clue!). Use caution if considering. Geib Gator finger holes are nearly equal for both thumb and ring finger, about 16.7-17 mm vs. the Misaki with two different sizes for ring finger 19 mm and thumb 22 mm. Sad to say, I’ve requested a return/refund from the vendor, Clipper Center. Shipment was fast and required signature on receipt. No complaints with the vendor or the products they offer, just got a product that does not work for me.
