The Cats Love them!
Our cats get so excited! Our two fury ones are acrobatic when we have these on the wands.

Great flying toy
My cat sits on my lap tapping my chest when he wants me to get this out. I have seen him jump 5 feet trying to catch this bird simulator toy.

Hours of fun!
My cats love to chase it when attached to a wand. They also love to chase it when I throw it across the room. Feathers are very stiff and stand up to hours of play.

Received the wrong item, but it ended up being for the best!
I originally purchased the Go Cat Da Bird toy from Petco last year, but one of the feathers broke in half, so I went looking for refills. To start, Go Cat sells 3 different feather refills and ordering the exact ones you want can be tricky. What’s worse is that the package that the refill comes in isn’t marked with any differentiation. The 3 types are guinea feathers, turkey feathers, or the “super”.The turkey feather is was what came in the package when I first bought it. The turkey feather has 2 large feathers that are dyed solid colors (red, blue, green, yellow, orange, etc) and a few smaller accent feathers. The guinea feather also has 2 main feathers and smaller accent feathers, but the feathers are natural color (spotted brown) and the feathers are about 25% smaller than the turkey feathers. The “super” toy refill is just like the guinea feather version, but has 3 main feathers with smaller accent feathers.Since it originally came with the turkey feathers and the turkey feathers are sturdier than the guinea feathers, I ordered the 3 pack of turkey feather refills. I received a 3 pack of the guinea feathers. As I mentioned, each individual refill package isn’t marked with the different types. All 3 packages were in a larger plastic package which had a sticker marking it as 3 turkey feather refills, so whoever packaged them or Amazon didn’t know the difference.I thought about returning them, but I found another single turkey feather refill at Petco and decided to keep these as backups. However, an interesting thing happened. I had to buy the turkey feather refill in a different color (first one was red, but they didn’t have any that color so I bought the green one). When I put the refill on the toy, my cat didn’t seem quite as excited about it. He always played with the red one, but when he got tired of it, I could fly it around the room and he wouldn’t pay attention to it, unless it was near him. He seemed less interested in the green one and not super excited.I put one of the guinea feather refills on the toy and he liked it MUCH better. He won’t take his eyes off it even after he starts getting worn out. He plays with it longer and much more aggressively. He would also not pay attention to the turkey feather refill when I would drag it along the ground, only when it was in the air. He goes for the guinea feather refill regardless, chasing it along the floor and in the air.I don’t know if the natural color triggers an instinct, if he likes the smaller size, or maybe the guinea feathers smell more natural since they aren’t dyed, but it really is a very big difference. It has turned a toy that he liked to play with into a toy he LOVES to play with. The turkey feathers are more durable and it tends to spin better when flying it around, which also makes more of a flying sound. I think it partially has to do with size, weight, and the feathers not flexing as much. The guinea feathers don’t spin as well and don’t make as much of a flying sound, but my cat greatly prefers them. They also seem to be a little less durable, but time will tell and I have 3 of them.I also read where the turkey feathers sliced someone’s kitty’s tongue and they had to get stitches. The turkey feathers, being stronger and bigger, do have sharper tips. While I think that was a freak accident, I think the guinea feathers have less of a chance of any issues like that, since they’re smaller, more flexible, and not as pokey. So, make sure you know the difference and know what you’re ordering. Every cat is so different, you can only find what they like through experimentation. I’m knocking off a star since the order was wrong but since my cat likes the guinea feathers better, the mistake ended up working out great this time.I think this is one of the best toys of this type on the market and any cat will like it. They make so many types of refills other than feathers, that there’s something for even the pickiest feline.

Creme de la creme
Pssst. Hey. You. Yes, you. I know what you’re doing. You’re looking at these reviews and wondering to yourself, “certainly these three feather blobs aren’t worth almost $20 when I could buy an off brand replacement for half that.” Yes, that was me too. But because I just got the stimmy and because I really love my cat, I decided to splurge on The Real Deal. And let me tell you. It is 100% worth it. These are so much better than the competitors. They soar, they drag a little bit, they make a good noise that drives my cat wild whenever you’re slinging it around really fast. He’s overjoyed with them. And I’m happy too because he’s so excited to play that he’s totally worn out when it’s time for bed every night. Just spend the extra few dollars and get these. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Cat’s favorite toy!
These feathers are awesome. My cat loves them. Constantly bringing to someone to play with him with it. Hours of play with this feather on a string.

My cats favorite!
My cats adore this teaser attachment, and they can be pretty rough on it. Stands up well to two cats catching and chewing on it. Easy to replace when it starts looking scraggly!
