Exceeded expectations, worked in bitter cold (day and night) – will never be without!
This unit is absolutely perfect and – exceeded expectations! Since receiving the unit our high temps haven’t been above 14 degrees and our lows have dropped as far as -12, but once we plugged it in our animals have had fresh water that didn’t require trips outside to clear the ice and add warm/hot water. We’re using an extension cord (okay per instructions) and the bowls come out for cleaning. The only thing we’ve had to do is add a little water on a daily basis to compensate for evaporation. The squirrels and stray cat we’re trying to trap are happy and now we’ll find something for the birds that works as well. Fingers crossed this company has such a product. Impressive!!

Nice quality and WORKS! We use it to keep the food and water for our foxes from freezing. Actually caught some funny video of a raccoon warming its “hands” in the water on a very cold night.

Smaller than pictured
The bowl is smaller than the way it appears in the advertising pictures. It works well and the cord is long but I have big dogs and I have to fill it a lot more than usual. It does work and it keeps the water from freezing. Seems to be built well.

Perfect for frigid Ohio winters
I’m very happy with this purchase. The water I provide to outdoor, feral cats no longer freezes in the cold Ohio winter. I can not give an opinion on the product’s longevity as I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks. The bowls are plenty big for long whiskers, and they are easy to remove for washing.

A great outdoor water dish.
I bought this to keep fresh water for a stray cat this winter. The water dish has performed quite well, even with temperatures going down to 4F. I would definitely buy this product again.

I purchased this food dish this winter for our neighborhood ferel cats. We’ve had some pretty good cold snaps (today -30° C). Overall keeps the water from freezing… on colder days like today some ice forms around the top but cats are still able to drink… and in this cold they eat and drink a lot. Very happy with this purchase.

Love this! I use one side for water and wet food for the other. While, like some gave said, the bowls are too deep for cats to comfortably eat from, I solved this by putting the food in the shallow ceramic bowl I use in the summer and placing it still bowl. Keeping the steel bowl itself half filled with water, it becomes like a “double-boiler” with the food in the ceramic bowl kept warm by the heat conduction from the steel bowl and water. Works perfectly! I feel so much more relaxed now not having to try to predict when the strays will visit to eat and knowing they will have warm food to help them with the freezing weather. Highly recommend.
