Finally a nice nail clipper that works when you need it!
Fits well in large hands, nail safety guard stays out of the way when you need it to, that is a big one for us! Other clippers we have tried, the nail guard always fell down in place because you picked the clippers up upside down or it was just loose. For these clippers the only thing that might work better is to have a lip/tab on the metal locking clip on the handle so you can use a single finger to flip it open and unlock the clippers. Working holding your pet and opening the clippers requires two hands, sometimes that can be difficult when doing two things at once, not a big issue though just mentioning it. We love these clippers, they work great!We give our cats a bath, then trim the nails. This nail clipper has good rubber grips with ridges that allow for non slip movement when your hands and pet are still wet from the bath, holding the paws and flexing the nail for trimming is very easy because of the size and grip. We like the over all comfort and feel of the clippers and the claws are cut cleanly by them. So many other brands seem to smash and clip the nails, these have a very clean cut to them. Design is well thought out, use is easy, a excellent purchase for the price.Will purchase these again, finally a set that we feel comfortable using.

Very good clippers, however the hook gets in the way occasionally and I have to flip them over so the hook dangles away and doesn’t reloop/close itself while I’m clipping.

While my dog is politely resistant and doesn’t like for me to mess with her claws, I am pleased with the quality and design of this trimmer. Most notably there is a piece of metal that will stop the user from sliding the cutting portion of the clipper too far down on the claw. (However, it can be moved out of position to teh side.) ANATOMY FACT: The quick or living tissue within the nail/claw extends into the inner core of the external, horn-like claw beyond the skin that surrounds the base of each nail/claw. I suspect that I would have clipped the first nail too deeply, causing pain and bleeding, without this safety feature. Incidentally, I have never had need to clip the claws/nails on a dog before and was not particularly aware of how exposed the quick actually is. Remember to check to see what size clipper you need for the size of your particular dog, cat, or wombat. I hope that you find this tip helpful!

I like them because your dog doesn’t hear them coming, doesn’t feel a grinder so focuses on the treat and you can get in and get out much faster than other types of tools. These were very sharp and easy to use.

Almost 5 years later..
I just realized I never left a review for this product. I purchased these back in 2019 for my dog grooming career. I’ve never had these sharpened and they still cut like they’re brand new. The only thing in the five years I’ve done to them was having to oil them. I used to be bad about leaving them in my pockets when I bathed dogs and I think that built up being wet all the time made them stiff, oiled them and good as new.

Really great! I love that I could tighten the screw in the middle so that the safety guard stays out of my way! On the right you’ll see the nail clippers, and on the left, are for XXL dogs like an Irish wolfhound or Great Dane. These nail clippers are the standard size I would use on most breeds, like cockapoos, labs, golden retrievers, and dobermans! It’s important to know that you should be cutting at an angle, not straight blunt cuts, to avoid cutting too much. I’ll be using these in the salon, and I’m very happy that they don’t get locked like most clippers because the metal hook falls outward, and doesn’t lock them when using!
