Very thin, my 3 cats won’t lay on it
These self warming pet beds/mats are super thin and provide no padding for your pets to lay on. The lack of padding is probably why 0 of my 3 cats will lay on this thing. The bed/mat is roughly a quarter inch thin. The nonslip bottom isn’t very grippy either. The pad will slide around and bunch up.

Nice waterproof mat!
This is a thin mat/whelping pad – waterproof on the bottom and fabric on the top – but with the added benefit of having an insulation layer in between. This isn’t a pet bed; there is no shape, no foam, no padding of any kind. It’s great for lining crates, carriers, or protecting carpet in pet areas from various kinds of spills. It seems sturdily made and handled laundering with no ill effects. The fabric on top is much softer than the other mats I have.

I’m not sure what the self warming hype is on this. It’s like a fuzzy thin polyester blanket with a waterproof backing . I guess when you lay on anything that is material it will be self warming. It’s works great for kennel liner .

Wonderful
I have a dog that is getting a bit older and starting to get arthritis. He’s a sweet boy but refuses to lay on pet beds and likes laying on the floor instead. Problem with that is the cold bothers his joints so I was searching for a solution that would make him a happier baby. This is perfect. My sweet boy love love love this pad. I was surprised how soft it is. He took to it right away. And now he looks for it and sprawls out along the length. He likes the warmth and I like that it doesn’t plug in and I have to be concerned about wires or it getting too hot as it’s only using his own body heat to warm. Really happy and I like seeing my pup be able to get up without his joints hurting.

Accurate fit and does what it’s supposed to. I needed a crate mat that would keep my dog warm, I have another blanket in there she likes to snuggle up with but this product adds extra comfort and warmth.
