Sturdy and easy for our dog to use
This dog ramp seemed to require a good bit of assembling, but my son-in-law took care of that. The resulting ramp is great! It is extraordinarily sturdy, allowing our 75-pound Lab and our grandsons to run up and down with no shaking or signs of possible collapse. I worried that the relatively low height of the ramp could be a problem (it ends about 5 inches from the top of our mattress), but that is not only not a problem but is instead a major advantage. The designers sacrificed a small amount of height in order to achieve an unusually slight angle of incline. It’s the gradual incline, I think, that has made our dog so comfortable using the ramp (she had to be shown how to use it only once). Also, in contrast to what I read about other dog ramps, Ruthie has no problem maintaining traction when climbing or descending. If you have room for a six-foot-long ramp, this one would be a great choice.

Sturdy but unsafe
We have a 60lb dog. The structure itself supports her however, we felt it was unsafe. It is very easy for a dogs paw to go through the rail.
