Tiny bunny approved!
Top notch quality, but I almost returned this, because my tiny baby bunny’s feet were too small for the grate (I got the extra grate). Then I used my noggin and put a folded pee pad over the grate for now. He is eating soooo much more hay with this setup! He loves it!! And so far he’s doing great with litter box training and it’s only been a few days! Also very nice has been the lack of hay everywhere. Thanks Lorelei! ❤️

Wonderful starting point, but there’s always room for improvement
I gave at a 5 star because I think this is a win for the bunny community. But I think true functionality, I’d give it a 4.5 star.Pros:1. Hay mess: This is definitely bunny parenting on easy mode—things are a lot less messy when it comes to hay. Being allergic to hay, this definitely helps a lot. This picture is several hours after I cleaned up and it looks pretty neat still whereas it wouldve been a mess already in the past.2. The plastic material is also very nice. My buns is 8 years old and I’ve explored through my fair share of different types of litter boxes. Most of the time, the bunny pee leaves a calcified pee stains on the plastic that I could not scrub off. I throw away some of my litter boxes after some time for this reason. With this, everything is smooth, it’s almost ceramic in nature. No scrubbing needed, I just rinse off with water and everything comes off.Assembly and disassembly is very easy makes cleaning easy as well.Room for improvement:Someone mentioned a cap on the hay feeder. I 100% agree. I think that will also help with the allergy situation and help with aesthetic stuff tooI know Lorelei mentioned that the box had low clearance to consider elder bunnies. I think that’s definitely a good idea, but I think for buns like mine who still has quite a kick on him, there should be a litter box with a higher clearance. My bunny tends to kick the bedding out when he comes in and out of it. Thats the mess I have to deal with rather than the hay. So, who knows maybe they can provide another litter box with different clearance options. You know what would be extra awesome? A biodegradeable pad/lining that fits this. With the doggy lining I have right now, my buns get bothered by the fact that it may slip back and forth so he wants to dig it out. So a nonslip pad that accompanies this—Now that would be a game changer.Someone else also mentioned bunnies climbing up top and getting their paws stuck. Before this litter box, I was using one of those hidden litter box and I just velcroed a cloth hat feeder inside it. It was nice until the bunny pulled too hard and the adhesive on the velco weakened causing it to fall and it gets peed on. But hey, he never attempted to climb on top of it…so….a round litter box may help. Bunnies can’t get on round things 🤔Thanks Lorelei for this invention. Best of luck.

Great option
It’s sturdy enough for my Flemish Giant bun, easy to clean, helps keep my boy from walking through his own mess.

Recommend
I had to buy the grate separately and it came weeks before the litter box. Lorelei Carlson knows better than most the importance of protecting rabbits hops. There needs to be holes got the grate to snap into, also. Lorelei annoys me so I’m trying to keep my focus on the product and not the person. It’s not big enough for 2 bunnies but it’s perfect for Cindy. She loves it. She eats from the top and the inside. I put it in front of the patio door so she can get some sun as she eats.Cleaning because of the type of plastic used to make this, is super easy. A quick wipe with a paper towel (maybe dampened with a little vinegar) is all it takes. I fill it with hemp pellets on Saturday, with gloves I take out the wet hemp and her poops, do a quick spot wipe and close. It holds a weeks worth of pellets. So it’s both time and cost effective.I highly recommend the HOPS litter box.

Mix Feelings
The product I feel is good but also not great but I do believe is all dependent on situation. I did return the item because it did not achieve what I needed it to. The product it self has a great starting point and the idea is there. Below ill be breaking down the pros and cons of the product as I see it.Pro:Aesthetically pleasing.Has a built in feederFor bunnies with issues hopping and out is low enoughCons:-Maintenance is VERY demanding. I ended up having to clean the litter box almost daily at most I would every two days, personally that is TOO demanding. but this alone could be a personal preference. As I see it bunny upkeep is very demanding in itself and adding something else is just too much and too time consuming.-The hay feeder is too low and too wide, I think this part is again, dependent on each persons necessity because if you bunnies have disabilities or anything else this wouldn’t be a problem but from my perspective, I have two bunnies and one is a digger who would in seconds take all the hay out and pee on it, making the upkeep even more demanding-the bottom was too shallow, I think I get why Lorelai did it this way, she was thinking of Lennon’s age and making it easy on her to hop in and out, but that not necessary for all bunnies. the shallowness basically means that in one day of usage all the poop and hay comes out of the litter box.-The litter box is definitely only for one bunny, I have two pet rabbits whom are consider dwarfs and they barely fit inside, they like to eat together and they literally had to take turns eating.I think overall the litter box ain’t bad, but its targeted more for bunnies with disabilities which is good but not all bunnies need it and especially if your a very busy person the upkeep is WAY to demanding. In my personal experience I basically DIY my litter box. I have a deep litter to make upkeep less demanding but also help with my digging bunny not make all the destruction, but he is also an older bunny so what i did to make it easy on him to get inside is that I made a custom ramp for him hop in and out. I also have a custom hay feeder position a bit higher and restrictive to avoid a mess and avoid the digging. all of it wide enough for 2 to maybe 3 bunnies to fit inBasically what I’m trying to say is, it not bad but do take these notes in consideration. I’m a big fan of Lennon and I think I would definitely give the litter box another chance if they came up with a different model. The product does look beautiful and I almost did not return it because of how aesthetically pleasing it looked, but the looks weren’t enough to convince me.

Love this litter box!My bunny is used to covered litter boxes so he had no trouble using it. I think it’s a good size for one average sized bun. Mine is a lionhead/rex mix. The only problem I’ve encountered right away is my bunny is used to digging so he gets frustrated with the hay being contained in the feeder. I don’t think Lorelai can fix that, it’s a me issue.Howrver because of this he has taken to hopping up on top and eating the hay straight from the top. I could take the top cover off of course, and already have. But I like the smell confinement and thought that was a great feature when I purchased. I wish there was a little lid for the hay feeder because that would help a lot as others have mentioned. It would also help with mess😊 until then I will try sprinkling more hay in the tray for digging and leaving the airation lid off.I love the low clearance entry and don’t mind a bit of litter sprinkling out. I’m redoing my basement from carpet to flooring soon so that cleanup will be super easy in time! The material is nice and the white makes it look so sleek and clean. Overall I think this is a huge win for the bunny community and can’t wait to purchase amd support future upgrades and products from Hop 😊

Instead of using it as a litterbox for my rabbit I’m using it as a dig box so she won’t dig in her litterbox, I’ve lined the bottom of it with aspen shavings with 12″ hay mats on top and put hay mats and a cardboard cat scratcher in the hay holder so she can dig in 2 places and she seems to like it.Update: she wouldn’t stop digging in her other litterbox so now this is her litterbox, hopefully she doesn’t manage to dig everything in it all over the floor too – she dug most of the hay out of the hay holder though so not much point in it other than for her to play with.

For the price of well over $100? (I paid $130+)I wouldn’t recommend this unless you were VERY unhappy with your current setup. My last litter box was my favourite. I made sure it would be exactly what my bun and i needed (after going through so many!). Of course she wanted a lid/hood (she gets along w my dog but also likes her privacy at times). But at least there was a grate to protect her sensitive feet and her butt wasn’t stained yellow! I was so excited to support Lennon and Lorelai that i bought this before realizing that there was no grate. I was told they’d be releasing one soon.I bought this box in April of last year. We are in March of the following year. So i think it’s safe to say that i 99% regret tossing my last litter box. My bunny has never been so dirty in all her life! And we can all tell cuz she’s white. The litter box grate only seems ro be available on amazon US and isn’t even available to ship to Canada. At that point I’m willing to check other Amazon websites from different countries and don’t even care so much about the price. However because this is a small company? They don’t seem to be reliable. I’m the kinda gal who likes to buy what i want WHEN i want it! And this isn’t a reliable seller. I didn’t want to make this review but it needs to be said…sorry. So if your rabbit likes to dig? Don’t get this! If your rabbit likes to lay in their bedding and you’re worried about their fur? Don’t get this! If you like to replace parts and are worried about durability? Don’t get this! And last but not least, if your current litter box is fine? Don’t you dare get this! it’s truly not worth the hassle. Now I have to make a tough decision of getting maybe a handy guy in my family to make me a custom-made one or just simply buy back her original litter box. Either way, we’ve got to make a change and with summer coming up I refuse to have her butt this dirty!Note: the hay box feeder already has chew marks :/ …Do i believe that will be replaceable? Not really!

This box is perfect for my buns. Love that I can load the hay from the top without having to remove the container. Their space is so much cleaner!

This product is amazing! My rabbit is extremely opinionated on his litter box and is larger than most cats. This litter box not only fits him but has fixed essentially every problem he’s had with litter boxes in the past. Since getting it there has been no accidents outside of the litter box and significantly less hay on the floor. This is 100% of five star product, the only problem is that the price is very high and something like this should be made accessible to all bunny owners. (if you’re able to afford it, it’s definitely worth it)
