Perfect For Our Tough Little Guy
My little guy is a Boston Terrier and he is a very heavy chewer. He has always loved chew toys as well as squeaky toys, but we don’t waste our money on squeaky toys anymore because he destroys them in 30 seconds flat. He’s very hard on his toys, so this ball is the type of thing we both love. This ball is holding up very well to his constant chewing and it is fun to watch him be surprised when he sees that a treat has come out of it. He loves playing with us or playing with it on his own. If your dog is a big chewer and you need something to keep him busy, this one would sure fit the bill. Nice price point, too, in case he ends up destroying this one, too, and we have to replace it. Hopefully it will at least take him a while before that happens. Definitely reccommend.

Might be better for outside use
Was hoping to keep my small chihuahua busy but this only slows her down a little. I bought a bigger size for her for durability but softness. I don’t want to put anything wet inside like cheese or peanut butter and have to roll around so I use her dog food and treats.

Not 10/10 for my dog, but it’s perfect for a mid size, young, heavy chewer
This treat ball is on the small side, maybe slightly bigger than a tennis ball, but about 10x heavier. It’s so heavy and thick my dog (75 lbs, 12 years old) won’t carry it around or do more than drop it and push it with her arms. It’s possibly too heavy and rough for her teeth. The rubber is also so thick that I can’t take rip or cut any part of it off to make it easier for her. The opening on top is fairly small – smaller than an inch, but bite size treats like Charlee Bear fall right out. This is a good thing for my girl, who is too lazy to work hard to get treats out. Overall I’d say this is more suited for a younger dog, probably one smaller than mine, and being a vigorous chewer is ok. I wouldn’t reorder for myself but would gift to the right dog in a heartbeat!

Good enrichment toy– tennis ball sized
Full disclosure: I am a dog behavior consultant who encourages LOTS of enrichment activities. I have experience with a wide variety of them, and rolling ball types are among my favorites to use for kibble. This is a nice one for beginners, or dogs with a low frustration threshold. The hole to dispense treats is quite big, so if you’re using small kibble, a lot will come out with the slightest roll (great for those kids just learning!). Bigger kibble or larger treats will work nicely in it. It is a nice heavy rubber ball with patterning on the outside that includes some flat parts, so your dog will have to nudge it constantly to keep the flow going. The larger hole makes it easy to clean, also, a plus none of my other treat balls have.NOTE: this is NOT for large dogs! The one I received is about the size of a tennis ball, so while it would be ok for a few treats, it is on the small side as a meal dispenser.

Blue ball for treats
Keeps my Golden quiet enjoying the treats.

Eh
The hole on this ball is pretty large, so the treats fall out with zero work on the part of the dog.

Decent sized ball for the pup. Has yet to be destroyed. 4 paws up
The hole to put treats in seems larger than the photos in the listing. It doesn’t take much for my pup to nudge it gently and have all of them come out. It doesn’t make it unusable it just means I’ll need to switch up what I put in there. I’m thinking about peanut butter although I have concerns with how I’ll keep it clean. Most likely I’ll just fill it larger treats that vary in size like the dried beef liver I buy him. The ball itself is a good size and it’s still intact after my pup had played with it on numerous occasions. For reference I have a roughly 60 pound pit mix. He is not the most aggressive chewer with these types of toys as opposed to plushies or bones.

treat toy
the hole is very large, treats don’t stay inside long enough for my dog to interact.
