Would recommend
I’ve had it about 2 weeks and my kitten loves it! It keeps her preoccupied when I’m doing things. I appreciate that I can turn the noise off. I keep it on the slow mode, the fast mode overwhelms her, and it eventually stops if she’s not touching the toy. Once touched, it activates again. It stops when it gets hair stuck in the toy. It’s kinda weird to explain, but it makes sense when you see the toy. You just clear the hair out and it works great.

My cats love this toy
I read a few reviews before trying this toy for my 2 fur babies so felt I should leave a review for others. I bought this b4 prime days, comes with a charge cord so after seeing my cats loved it I bought 2 more. One I sent to my daughter’s cat & the other to s friend who has 2 cats & they are also loving how it keeps their cats entertained for long periods of time! Worth the price for sure!

Love/hate
Initially, my cat was greatly entertained with this toy but there is a design flaw that now keeps the cat mostly away: the wire. Naturally, a cat wants to bit something that it catches, and the wire is not pleasant for a cat to bite. So, my cat struggles to figure out where he can really sink his teeth in. Design suggestion: cover the wire in a material that a cat can safely and comfortably bite. Also, extend the length of the wire. It is too short. Apart from that, the battery life and the play settings are excellent.

Please note, this review is being penned about an hour after receiving the device, and I will update should the product fail or otherwise stop functioning well.We rescued our cat from a local city APL around 2 months ago. He’s young, around a year from best guess, and his breed type is known for needing pretty consistent stimulation. We have a very old Chihuahua mix that came into my household with my significant other, and the cat spends far too much time “hunting” the dog. Kitty can spend hours playing, and while ample time is spent with him in this way, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to manually satiate his need to play and release energy. When he’s had a chance to spend this excess energy, he can be such a cuddly, purring machine. I saw this item while getting some other things, and for the price and generally favorable reviews, I felt it worth taking a chance.Since this left the box and was turned on, the cat hasn’t left it alone. It has been in the mode where it was essentially goes into sleep mode if not touched, and his attention has not left it just over an hour it’s been in use. He will track and hunt the thing, wait for it to deactivate, and then make his move which turns it back on.I can’t comment on battery life or really anything longevity based yet, but this Sunday morning has been a happy kitty, and relaxed dog, and a lot of laughter from us humans. The cat is growing more comfortable with the toy itself, and I can see this being an integral part of his daily regimen to use all the energy he has.This is great for the price, and I am thrilled in how it performs. As for noise, it really just makes what sounds like some squeaks and general electric motor noise. It’s just enough for him to track it if it goes under a couch. The device does a great job at unsticking itself from under furniture, as well. I’ve only had to manually move it once after a request from kitty himself.I hope this thing lasts, as it’s already made a positive difference!

Would be fun but it’s dangerous
I do like the product, however, it seems to come with this metal wire that spins violently and thrashes around which I found to be a danger hazard. I got this for a family member for Christmas but wanted to make sure it worked before wrapping it, and you have to charge it for 2 hours or until the green light comes on, but I found out when I turned it on, is the metal wire that spun around had hit me, and it actually broke skin. Seems like it’s a good idea but without the metal wire, I’d recommend replacing it with just the ribbon. Aside from that I also found that it is very difficult to clean and keep clean. It picks up everything from the floor and gets trapped under the clear plastic piece that you have to remove and clean, even with water it still didn’t clean up all the way. It does seem like a cute idea and I would like it without the metal wire, I did appreciate them putting that extra piece in for backup and that it actually made chirping noise (not loud or annoying). But I will not be giving this as a Christmas present due to it being so dangerous!

Absolute favorite toy
We are keeping my daughter’s kitten for a few days so I bought this toy in the hopes of keeping her occupied. She hasn’t stopped playing with it. Out of all the toys she has, this is her favorite! I highly recommend it if you want a fun, rechargeable toy that will keep you cat entertained!
