Different Modes, Very Fun and Active
This is such a cool toy; I think I like it just as much as the cat does!The string on the end has a plastic connector that screws into the frame of the toy. There’s a dust cover over the power port, since it’s within the rubber ball portion, and the power button has markings on the rubber to indicate where to press. Long hold to turn it on/off, and short press to change modes. Be warned: it starts on high action mode, and each button press takes it down a level. Thus, it can be a little chaotic the first moment it turns on. It has a completely different colored-light for each mode, which means there’s never any guessing (although the instructions call the green light a yellow light).It makes a lot of different hopping, walking and running actions, so it’s a lot of fun for everyone even just watching. The first time we used it, it jumped out of my hands and down the steps at the cat–but because of the different movements, it slowly jumped from one step to the next instead of shooting down the stairs. It was able to catch itself from hitting the cat, and never even made it to the bottom step. Also, because of the way it moves, it hasn’t gotten itself stuck around the house like most traveling pet toys (and vacuums). It’s got a lot of control over its movements, and it seems incredibly well-designed and made.Very happy with this cool little toy. Highly recommend!

Great for cat entertainment.
I am surprised at how well this thing zips around on carpet. My apartment is mostly carpet and I’ve been having trouble finding one that will actually move and be entertaining for my cats It does seem to need to be recharged quite frequently though, which I worry will kill it’s battery quickly.

Excellent cat toy; great exercise for them!
Cats absolutely love it! It does a good job at not getting stuck often, always changing directions and scooting away to keep the cats engaged and well exercised. Also good exercise for owners when it deactivates under a bed or furniture- get those steps in trying to find the darn thing. lol

My dog liked it but then again he would look at it sometimes and watch it go lol. I got him a mouse similar to this but he was able to catch it easily but he seemed to loved that toy more for some reason.

Cat’s interested, but gets stuck too often
I like this cat toy because our cat is interested in watching it go and it does have 3 different “speed” settings. The “bird” noise is not really that much bird like, but it is a nice touch to have the sounds. Speed wise, I wish it would move a little slower, as it stands, it goes pretty fast but not for long.The one big drawback is this thing gets stuck easily. And not just furniture, but walls! It will hit a wall, spin and go no where, and then stop. When it starts back, it does the same thing. Sometimes it takes 3-4 iterations to finally get unstuck from the wall. It also does not work well at all on carpet, but we have plenty of hardwoods that it does work pretty well on.Overall, pretty average cat toy… I don’t know if I would purchase this again for $16, but maybe others might have better luck keeping it going.

Must Have!!!! Great cat toy! Keeper!
My cats absolutely loved this toy! It’s extremely easy to operate, easy to charge modes, easy to turn on and most importantly it gets my cats moving! It has 3 modes, we had it on the blue mode which is very fast! We used it in bedroom and so it did go under the bed, however it came back out no problem. It’s very sturdy and has some weight to it which is nice. The rope attached is irresistible to my two cats but very sturdy which is very important! So if your cat likes strings and my one cat LOVES strings however he chews through them all! This one is finally strong enough for him and will actually last! I think this is a great cat toy that would be great for not only rambunctious kittens but if you have older cats that maybe need to lose some weight it would help get them moving!

Pretty close to excellent. Motor is a little weak though.
My cats are so picky about their toys. I can never predict what they’ll like. Usually, motorized toys annoy them more than they entertain. This immediately got their attention. They weren’t even in the room and they came running into investigate. One cat just observed. My other cat followed it around for a while before trying to grab the shoelace tail and carry it off. The toy moves around and then plays dead for a bit, chirps a few times and scurries off again. That delay drove him crazy as just when he’d move to bite the shoelace, it would run off. When I took it away, both cats spent the next few hours hunting for it. The chirping sounds really make a difference and they are quite enough not to be really annoying. It does make a fair amount of noise as it rolls around. The rubber nubs aren’t quiet as it rolls around on a wood floor. I’m sure my neighbors below have yet another thing to hate me for. The only issue I had is the motor just isn’t quite strong enough and easily got stuck or wedged against something that effectively pinned it. The ball is smaller than a lot of these types of toys which made it easier to get wedged on even little things….Battery life is good though.

Better than the other one
Charges well. Has three stages that could be in a sequence(5 mins of each stage in order). The rubber is more durable than the other brand I saw. My cat is now addicted to these types of toys.
