My timid 15- & 17-year-old elderly cats both say “Meow good”
I have two cats, both elderly inside cats. They don’t get along with each other, so each one has a different side of the house they live in and they never meet. Neither one of them play with toys any longer as they find sleeping much more fun! My sweet 15 year old cat is EXTREMELY timid. Her name is Cinderella. I never have to worry about her escaping outside because she is terrified if anyone ever comes over and she can only be found under one of the beds; she will only come out again with a lot of coaxing and after the mean stranger has left our house! So, I wasn’t sure how she would react to this cat toy. At first, I put the squeaking tail in the tent, and that definitely scared her. She was also scared of it when I had it outside the tent, but foolishly both times I had it on the fast speed (I should have known better). The tail never seems to stop moving on the fast speed to enable her to hunt/catch it. However, when I put it at the slower speed, outside of the tent, the fun began. It was slow at first, but she soon became very interested. The slower speed is much better as it does occasionally stop allowing the cat to pounce on it, whereas it never seemed to stop at the faster speed which she did not like. I also have an even older cat, who we call “Large Marge” as that name describes her very well! She also was interested in the moving squeaking tail as long as it was set on the low speed and out of the tent. The first couple of times that we let her play with it, she was entertained (mostly following and staring at it with only a few pounces) for almost 15 minutes each time. After that both she and I were exhausted. So, I’m giving this cat toy 5 stars as it not only entertained both of my elderly cats, but it got them both up and moving more than either had in years!

    Pretty good…
Some of my cats loved this, and others were afraid of it. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that it is easy for the cats to grab and flip. And once they do that, it is basically over. I have to flip it back in place each time, and given how quickly they flip it, it becomes less fun for me. But, other than that, it is a great interactive toy. My cats are huge, though, so maybe smaller cats would be less likely to get so aggressive with the toy?

    Smaller than I expected
I looked at the image several times and can only conclude that this toy was pictured with micro cats. I do not have micro cats living in my home. I have a few micro cats, but mostly I have big ones that like big toys. The “container” is small, but my brood did find some joy in poking their paws in to get the rambunctious and noisy “bird”. Birds sounds are a little too loud though. The timid ones said no thank you to the loud creature trapped in the weird micro tent. The ones brave enough to approach the micro tent and stick their paws in were annoyed by how fast the noisy bird moved. A little too much for them. When I pulled the “bird” out for them to play with outside the micro tent, the brave ones said no thank you. Too fast and too hard. The speed of the twirling part needs to be about half the speed.I have now set some treats and catnip in the micro tent, and found that my brood is good to dig for the treats and try and pull the catnip out. Hence the three stars. Even though the size is not accurately portrayed and the “bird” is too fast and too loud, the micro tent did have a use.

    Make it stop screaming!
Okay, whoever said the toy makes “mouse sounds” has never actually heard a mouse. It sounds more like an angry, screaming monkey. That thing is terrifying! I don’t know who hated it more, me or the cat. The cat liked the feather thing on the end, but that’s about it. Also, the ball doesn’t fit through the holes in the little tent thingy. I have no idea what they’re for. My cat does like chewing on the tent thing, but that’s about all it’s good for.

    Cat was super happy
This toy keeps my cat entertained and curious. The peek-a-boo motion really grabs her attention. It’s a fun and sturdy way to add play to her day. It was easy to charge too!

    Lovely investment for playful cats
My cats went absolutely hot wild over this cat toy. Kept them busy for hours. Fantastic buy. My cats are 2, 4, 8, and 16. They all found this very entertaining. Very durable. Doesn’t make a lot of noise but it squeaks a lot for them.

Cats love it, but my ears can only take a little at a time.
My cats loved this toy immediately. I have a cat that likes digging and trying to catch things when they are under/in stuff, so this toy was right up her alley. My other cat doesn’t know how to play as much in that way, but he was having fun watching her and trying to track where the ball was in the little tent thing. The toy is not big – the tent is maybe a foot square, the ball a little bigger than a golf ball – but the size seems just right for this kind of toy. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. There’s not a lot of options for the different modes – it really only does about 3 different movements, but for the price, this is about what I expect. The only thing that I wish was improved was a mode that didn’t have the sound or some sort of volume control. Although my cats like the sound, I could see more timid cats being a little shy with the sound. I also could only take it for a short while. My cats played with this for an hour without stopping, but 15 minutes is about my limit with the sound.

My cat was terrified of it
So, two problems with this. First, the ball is WAY too big to actually fit into any of the holes in the cloth bag without literally needing to rip one to get it inside. Secondly, that is not a mouse sound. That is the sound of a whining puppy.I turned it on, and my cat literally bolted for the bedroom and would not come out again for an hour and a half. WAY too loud for a skittish adult cat (3 years old). It might work for a kitten, but I’d rather find something silent than something that basically shrieks like a 12 week old puppy.
