Highly Entertaining and Lots of Laughs
I was doubtful at first, as I’ve bought enough fancy schmancy cat toys that usually disappoint or aren’t built safely enough for cats (I have worked in the veterinary field for many years) or they putz out after a few play sessions and/or they fall apart. Many of the mobile toys, like the snake that moves, usually get so full of hair and fur that they cannot move, or they break, or they do not move well at all if they come across carpetting. This one was beyond a good deal. There are 3 different settings, which cause the ball to act differently. It rolls around of its own accord, once turned on…it reminds me of the same tech that the robot vacuums use, when it rolls into a obstacle, it changes direction. It has slightly ridged rubber outer shell that manages to get itself over small obstacles, like if it runs over a power cord or a rug…it has enough oomph to get over small obstacles like that. It rolls under the couch and still manages to come back out. It took a day or two for my 2 cats to start really engaging with it. The first day was a lot of watching it and following it and occasionally bapping it, but they were still trying to figure out WTH this thing is. It does make noise, so I would not recommend letting it just sit out overnight, as it does go into like a hibernation mode where it will stop moving, lights out and no noise but if someone touches it, it starts up again. No batteries but it is rechargeable with a USB cord that can attach to my laptop or other electronic device that has a USB post…I have an alarm clock and a few lamps that have USB ports for charging.Cleaning it is a breeze. Any hair or fur that gets wrapped around the “axel”…easy peasy…the arch that holds the “tail” detaches easily, pop off the hair or fur, put the arch back on. Do be careful, in that one side has a small, round, metal “washer” of sorts that can come off when detaching the arch. Just pop it back on and the other side has a square peg so there is only on way of putting the thing back together. This particular version came with two tails: one plain red fleece-like material, which is the one I’m using. It did come with another fancy mesh tail with shiny, plastic little fins that makes for more flashy tail but seeing my cats utterly destroy things made with mesh, I will not use it because I do not want to risk my cats accidently ingesting it or parts of it and them ending up with a foreign body obstruction. The plain red fleece tail is holding up quite nicely.I am genuinely impressed with this toy and would definitely recommend it to others. Do BEWARE of some that are selling it for super cheap, as all of those I have found are coming straight from China and the shipping cost waaaay more than the price they were charging for the toy itself.Have fun!

    Cat interactive toy
My cat loves this toy, this was the only ball he would play with. Now weeks later it barely works stop lighting up, when charge it up he plays then it dies mid play and he sits or walks around like he lost his best friend. I’m now looking for another toy for him.

Cat loves it, favorite toy next to laser red dot. Broke after 7 weeks. Will buy another, try again.
My cat LOVES this toy (P02 model)used the string tail.I also bought the green P36 and he likes P02 a bit better. They keep his attention. Unfortunately it quit working after 7 weeks. This P02 toy is his “zoomie ball”, the P35 is his ‘flippy ball”. He is sad his zoomie ball broke, so I will get another. It is fast, bangs into walls making noise, in apartment, so I put fabric along baseboards to make it quiet and to keep it from going under the couch. So far he hasn’t tried to drown it in in his waterbowl, which I keep up on a counter, I took away floor water bowl just in case. (He likes to drown socks and toys). these balls are his favorite toys next the the laser red dot and the mouse hanging on the elastic string, and can can play by himself and let me work. Good invention, hope the next one works longer.

    Fun for the cats
I’m always on the lookout for fun toys for our cats (we have three cats.) This one had some good reviews so I gave it a shot. It is well made and charges reasonably quickly. I set it for the slower speed so my cats would get used to it. They were fascinated by it but quite cautious since it moves in many different directions. I attached the red rope tail to it since I wasn’t sure the mesh tail would hold up.The ball moves pretty quickly, even in the slower speed, and it changed direction whenever it incurs an obstacle. I was surprised at how well it maneuvers through some of the clutter in my house. After a few days of letting it run, one of my cats (the orange tabby that’s quite the hunter and toy player) started following it much more closely. I have no doubt that once she gets used to it, she’ll be chasing it all over the place! At this point, all three are watching it with lots of interest, which is the kind of stimulation I was hoping for.The ball holds a charge for a decent amount of time and charges quickly enough. The ball does clean easily, which was something another reviewer had pointed out. That is a big plus for me. I run a lint roller over the ball and most of the cat hair comes right off.The price is pretty comparable to similar cat toys so I’m happy with it.

    Stopped moving after 2 weeks
Disappointing. My cat loved it until it stopped moving. Still lit up, lights flashed but no longer moved

    EXCELLENT TOY
I have 2 (spoiled) cats. They have many toys. This one is one of their favorites and I was VERY surprised how fast it goes on carpet! This is their first place where the majority is carpet. I have other toys that are similar to this one, but this is the only one that goes very fast on carpet. I love it bc they love it! They are my babies

    Disappointing toy
I regret buying this toy. The motor was super loud and it made an awful racket on my hardwood floors. My cats were scared of it more than anything. Not worth the money or not interesting to my cats.
