Winner with my cats, but battery life is on the brief side
First, my cats *love* this toy. I use the ball inside the round tent to great effect. The cats will chase, pounce, and rabbit kick the heck out of it. The ball on it’s own? Meh. But that’s fine, each cat will be different. The tent material is better than most in this price range, taking the claws and teeth without noticeable damage, but note that the sides are NOT supported/reinforced, so it doesn’t stand up on it’s own as the image would indicate. The ball has withstood multiple attacks and pounces without breaking or failing to function. The only problem is that due to small size, the battery is generally dead in 10-20 minutes of play. It recharges fully in an equivalent time, but if you need a long term distraction for an energetic cat, this isn’t going to be the toy for you. But if your cats are like mine, they’ll burn off more energy with this in that 10-20 minutes than they may in an hour with a less active toy!

My cats get bored easily and beg to play. So we were looking for something different to excite them and decided to give this product a try, the Rolling Ball in Play Mat. When we received it they were right away excited since they recognized that it had to be for them. The fabric pattern is the exact same as another toy they have. I charged the ball for 2 hours and put it inside the mat. While charging it blinks red and seems to stay red when it’s fully charged. The cats did love it and it entertained them BUT the charge did not last very long for this item. It says that it takes 2 hours to charge it and I expected it to last 2 hours of playtime but it doesn’t last more then 10-15 minutes for us. Maybe we got a defective one because I haven’t seen other complaints about this in reviews. I wish it had a decent charge. I again just finished charging it and tried the interactive mode it to see if the battery lasts longer and 15 minutes later it’s dead again. When I press the power button it blinks then turns off. One of my cats loves to chew on crinkly toys so he liked the mat material a lot and will drag the mat around sometimes and they liked playing with the ball itself when it works. You can take the ball out of the bag it rolls easily over carpet and hard floor…as long as yours work. My cats are so sad right now and keep coming over to the mat to see if they can play with it yet. I’m going to need to find a replacement for this because I can see that they’d love it if it worked. I would have given it 5 stars if our battery worked.

Super Stimulating Cat Toy
My cats love this sqeaky- ball-inside-a-mat cat toy. This is the third of its kind I’ve ordered in the last 6 months. The rechargeable motor inside these little balls doesn’t seem to last long. Each prior purchase quit holding a charge after just a couple of months. Really hope this toy lasts longer than its predecessors, because it’s a super fun, stimulating cat activity for my cats. The ball rolls around inside a velcro sealed mat. It lights up and squeaks, pauses, rolls forward and backward, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. My cats jump all over the mat, pawing at it and rolling around trying to catch it. The ball goes on standby after several minutes of inactivity, then starts up again when a cat walks on or near the mat. One full USB charge keeps the motor active for a couple days of on and off consistent catplay. You can even set the mat aside and let the ball run wild across the floor for more adventurous cat chases.This cat toy is an inexpensive investment that really energizes even the laziest of cats and boosts the mood of the entire household.

Game changer for kitty entertainment!
Whoever created this item is a genius. This item was larger than I expected but it ended up being the perfect size (28″). I have several cats and every single cat was sitting around it after I started it up. It comes with a charging cable and the ball which has different settings for speed and colors. It also comes with the play mat. The play mat closes the ball inside so you never have to worry about the ball rolling under the bed or a dresser and never seeing it again. From young cats to old everyone in my home loved this product. It kept them busy and active. Only one downside was that it seems the ball only stays charged for a shorter period of time (about 20 minutes) but recharges up quickly enough. My cats were sort of tired by the time it needed recharged anyway. Overall, this is my favorite toy in the house for them.

A great way to contain a wild toy!
Scardy cat was curious, but zoomies cat was WILD about this toy. We have similar ones that zoom around, but they end up under the bookcase covered in dust or wrapped up in pet hair after a trip under the fridge.This little enclosure is awesome! It’s light enough that they can move it around to feel like they’re accomplishing something but the velcro seal means the toy can’t escape and get stuck or lost somewhere when it runs out of batteries. The enclosure is also fairly scratch resistant and a nice coated type texture that stops claws from immediately destroying it.The charging port is way easier to access than my other toys like this and the bunny topper is the adorable icing on the cake. A great toy for energetic cats, mine took to it immediately! Even the fraidy cat (pictured, not in the video) was curious enough to explore, and he’s scared of them out in the open.

A Favorite for My Cats
This is a fun toy with lots of potential. I run a cat rescue and have senior and special needs cats. They are hard to entertain. I love this toy. We tried a ball that ran around, like the ball that goes in the bag. It moved too fast and got under the furniture too often. The bag is a perfect solution! The bag keeps the ball in one small area. The cats find it very interesting because it rattles, moves, and the flashing light shows through the bag.I’m not a fan of the furry little ball with an elastic loop and fur ring with ears if a cat is allowed access without the bag. They could come off and be a choking risk. Inside the bag and/or under supervision, it’s likely safe.
