    Cats like it
Toy is not like the picture at all. Toy last just a minute. I wish a toy just like the photo. Wasted my money!

doesn’t do what it needs to do.
The ball that you put inside does not change directions and it quit running very quickly. I wanted something my cat would try to capture for at least several minutes. since the ball went to one edge and didn’t move around, she lost interest.

    Did not impress my cat
The item itself isn’t anything other than described. It has a rechargeable ball that you insert into the round bag. The ball is a bit loud and maybe that is why my cat was not interested. He just sat and stared for a few moments than walked off. I tried to get him interested in it several times but he never did find any interest in it.

2 / 5 Cats say “This Is The BOMB Diggity!
You can use it as a hard ball toy, which will run around better on carpet, or with the cover, as a hard floor chaser, or contain it in the nylon bag where it moves around enough to take the bag (slowly) with it. Three ways to play, two different settings on the ball and a reasonable price. What’s not to love? But, what do the Cats think?Cat 1: Senior Female, Deadly Ninja Warrior with a penchant for “snake” killing and “bird” catching:WHAT IS THAT?!? OMG! It moved. I’ll watch to make sure it doesn’t bite. Meh. Okay. Whatev.Cat2: Daughter of Senior Female, Overweight. Thinks she’s a Deadly Ninja Warrior. Isn’t.:Wha-wha-wha!?!? Lemme get down here low where it can’t see me. I’ll sneak up on it from … No. From over … Nope. Lemme try… Nah. Never mind. It’s naptime.Cat3: Injured as an infant and rescued, but scared to death of her own shadow ever since:Wassat?! Hey! It moved! Check it out! I’ma hide under this chair and see if it eats you guys first.Cat4: Stray kitten (3 years ago) who was bribed indoors through her stomach and has only just begun to decide she might like to be a tame kitty. Still a ball of mischief and into everything:I’m gonna stalk it. From every angle, high, low…. and then I’m gonna sneak up on it… and SNIFF IT! But only when it stops moving. Otherwise, I’m gonna sit mesmerized like. This is better than a fishbowl!Cat5: Son of the Aging Ninja Warrior, he was rejected and birth, bottle fed by his human and doesn’t even know he’s a cat. Also, has a bit of a landing disability and a few other quirks that remind me daily WHY his mother figured he wouldn’t make it. Mama’s boy nonetheless and so timid he won’t play with anyone but mom.:OMG! MOM! It’s like your feet! Under the blanket! But you’re not mad and telling me to go to bed! THIS. IS. AWESOME!!!!! Ohhhh, Ima bite it, and chase it and snuggle it and start all over again after a break. (A little catnip dumped inside might’ve helped. Did I mention he’s also an addict?)Overall, the downside was the button is REALLY hard to push and we’ve given up trying to get it into SMART mode. Probably best to push it with the ball apart and then put it in the bag. (Or out of the bag on the floor, plain or with the cute little ball cover.)The only other downside detail is that the ball cover is REALLY hard to get on and off. It doesn’t cover the ball entirely either, which hasn’t proven to be an issue thus far.Over all, I don’t know if I’d have been able to justify the expense when only one cat does more than stalk it. But considering the one it lured in, I’m beyond thrilled. He was the last one I expected to enjoy something like this. We laughed until we cried watching him try and get the ball out of the hole. And now, my sweet boy will have hours of entertainment while I’m at work.UPDATE: Cat 4 has joined the fun. Not to be outdone by the baby, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before we’ve got them all hooked. Alas, still no SMART mode.TL/DR: EXCELLENT entertainment. (For me and the cats) If your cat will go for it, this is a gem!

    Definitely keeps my cats occupied!
This toy is great! It keeps my cats occupied for quite a while and it shuts itself off after a certain amount of time. I haven’t timed it to see exactly when that happens, but it always seems to be when the kitties are starting to get bored or shortly after they’ve walked away. The one thing that I should say is that we have hardwood floors and the ball is somewhat loud when rolling and bumping on the floor. I solved that issue by putting this on top of my bed. Doing that, makes it nice and quiet and something that keeps the cats occupied for a while. It’s a great toy!

    Kitten approved!
The cats love this toy! They couldn’t be happier!

Good concept, but harder to use than it should be
My cats have a similar toy that they absolutely love, so I ordered this to give them more options. The cats do love the toy, but I haven’t been able to get the motion activated aspect to work. That’s the feature that makes the other toy great. They can turn it on when they are ready to play and it doesn’t drain the battery moving around after they’ve lost interest. This one has a ball with a motor in it that has a dust cloth like, fitted cover. You can use the ball on it’s own or put it inside the crinkly circle. The cats like both options, but they lost their last free rolling toy in less than an hour, so into the crinkly sack the ball went. They do love it, but once the ball turns itself off, I have to take it out of the bag to get it turned back on. So it’s not the most engaging cat toy.
