Love the idea, but this needs improvement
So first of all, my cats love this, and so do I. I love the idea of this toy: the thin fabric makes it easy to see the ball’s light & movement, while it stays inside the enclosure so we’re not chasing this ball all over the place. And my cats love it, too. After a few minutes, though, there were some issues that popped up.First, the ball wasn’t charged. Usually this stuff is, but no biggie, I’m not holding that against it. The USB, however, did not fit it at all. No matter what I did, I could not get it to plug into the ball. Fortunately I had one that would, but that is a huge issue if the charging cables aren’t compatible with the toy.Inside the enclosure, the toy works great… as long as it has air to move. What I mean by that is you need the enclosure puffed up or the ball catches on the fabric and TRIES to move but doesn’t go far. When setting it up, this is no problem. I absolutely was able to get it puffed up, and the ball zoomed all over the place inside the enclosure. But the second one of our cats jumped on it or fell on the sides, it collapsed & stayed collapsed. After they got up, the ball could not move because the top layer of fabric was pushed down and the ball didn’t have the power to get unstuck. To solve this, I took stiff Velcro strips and lined the walls with them vertically. That absolutely did the trick; even if my cats jumped on it and the top fabric collapsed, it still left enough space inside that the ball could get moving and zoom around. So my verdict: love the idea of the toy, but as it is currently designed, you will find yourself constantly fixing it just so your cat can use it properly. To the makers of it, put some stiffer fabric for the walls to keep it from completely folding up on itself, and this will be a winner.Oh, and make sure the USB charging cables actually fit!

Works for a bird dog, too
Bought this for my dog, a Hungarian Vizsla. She shows moderate interest in the toy when we bring it out to play. She prefers interacting with the ball when it is outside of the fabric sleeve. We have to heavily supervise if the ball is not in the fabric sleeve since the ball does not appear to be tough enough to withstand playful biting/chewing from a medium sized dog. She only observes the ball and doesn’t seem inclined to attack or bite at the ball when it is in the sleeve.Overall, it is a great product and it helps keep our bird dog entertained while it is cold outside. The ball charges well overnight and keeps a charge long enough to have a few short play sessions per day.The only minor complaint I have is that the Velcro opening for the fabric sleeve is so well hidden I can never find it quickly.I would love to see a version of this toy that is more dog specific. A more robust ball and a sleeve with a larger diameter with less opacity would be a starting point.

Came broken
I was really looking forward to this cat toy. My daughter has two very energetic young cats, and I think they would’ve enjoyed this. It would’ve been a nice distraction from tearing apart my house. I immediately plugged the ball in after opening. Came back to it about 6 hours later and it hadn’t charged at all. I pulled the silicone cover back to see if I could find a reason, and noticed a few cracks in the ball. I made sure the charger was working on a different device (it was), so the ball I received just doesn’t work. Very disappointed

Only received 1 of 5 items, very disappointing
I was very disappointed when I received this interactive toy, the description states it comes with a rechargeable ball, ball cover, pompom tail, and charging cable, none of that was delivered with the cloth bag,The only information I’m able to state is that the cloth bag appears to be well constructed, my cat is not interested in playing with a cloth disc, so she’s just using it as a place to lay, this toy was not the value I thought it would beSince I did not receive all items stated in the description I can only give this toy 2 starsI will reach out to the seller and see what they are willing to do to correct the issue and update accordingly

Great concept, but definitely has some design flaws
We have a 3 year old cat, who loves chasing laser dots, playing with squeeze toys and chasing battery operated cat toys, so we thought this Interactive Cat Toy device would a terrific way to keep him entertained. Unfortunately, it just isn’t what we hoped for.Starting off with the positives: It is rechargeable, which is a great feature. The round mat/enclosure is pretty well made and has some cute cat images on it. The toy does keep our cat entertained for a short period of time. The negatives: Using the toy outside of the included enclosure/mat presents several problems – Even on the slowest setting, the thing runs WAY too fast and basically just scares our cat. The toy continually runs up under furniture and gets stuck as far back as it can possibly go. Even though we vacuum and sweep regularly, cat hair keeps getting wound up around the little exposed metal axles on the device and has to be cleaned out after every use. Also, the device just doesn’t keep our cat’s interest for very long, because the cadence of activity is too frequent (i.e. it doesn’t stop moving long enough to peak the cat’s interest). Overall, I really like the concept, but the design definitely needs some tweaking to be a toy that I would recommended.
