fun even for an old cat
My older cat likes this very much. I’ve used it only on the slow mode because she is a scaredy cat. Mostly, she watches it and follows it around. But if it gets under one of her sheets of tissue paper (her all-time favorite toy), she jumps on it and tries to kill it.It moves around really well. It even goes from the wood floor onto the rug by itself. If it starts bumping against something, it turns itself around. In slow mode, there is a blue, glowing light that gets the cat’s attention. It makes a little humming noise now and again, also to get the cat’s attention. I think it’s a great toy.The one drawback is that the first one I got didn’t work. It worked one time, then just turned off. It was all charged up, but wouldn’t turn on. But the seller replaced it immediately. So all’s well that ends well.

    Fun for your kitty
This is a fun toy that my cat really likes. He loves chasing it or just following it and watching it zip around. Two things I didn’t like about it: it’s small enough to go under my fridge and get trapped, and the little cover over the USB port and power switch wouldn’t stay closed. The floppy cover wasn’t a huge deal it was just annoying to see it flopping around, so I just removed it.The important thing is that my cat really likes it. It’s fast, even on carpet, and runs for a decent amount of time on a charge and charges quickly.

Fun and Engaging Toy for Curious Cats!
It has been a great way to keep her entertained! The motion-activated feature makes it even more exciting since it starts moving when she bats at it, keeping her engaged for longer periods. The wiggling tail adds an extra level of fun, mimicking real prey and sparking her natural hunting instincts. The toy works well on different floor types, and I love that I don’t have to constantly turn it on and off—it keeps my cat occupied even when I’m busy. While she wasn’t sure about it at first, she quickly warmed up to it and now chases it around daily. Overall, it’s a great interactive toy for keeping indoor cats active and mentally stimulated!

Great concept for cat toy but some cats might shy away
My cats are absolutely terrified of this toy! The cats will observe it from about 15 or 20 ft away, but somehow the blinking light scares them both. I do have to say that it’s a great little toy and it bounces around quite a bit, but the functionality of the unit is defeated by the fact that the cats are afraid of it, and I do have to say that the battery life is actually fairly poor, even though the adapter is included. Overall I would look for something without a light depending on your pet. I would definitely not recommend this toy for the main reason however of the fact that once it loses charge and is under furniture or in some out of the way place, you will never find it. I haven’t been able to find mine for a couple of weeks despite crawling on my hands and knees all over the house. I definitely would look for something else.

    Fast and fun!
After I charged this toy up, I turned it on and set it loose! OMG, it took off like a flash, ran down the hall, bounced off a couple walls, turned around and ran some more. It scared the cat, and she ran and hid. Thankfully I was able to catch the ball before it ran under furniture or where I would not be able to retrieve if it could not make its way back out. Since I am older, I cannot get down on the floor. Something to keep in mind should you purchase this toy. So, since I have a ball pit for my cat to play in, I put the ball in there. I have packing paper in the ball pit as she really likes playing in the paper and I thought this thing would run through and around the paper just like a critter would. I was not disappointed! I laughed at the sight, but the cat was still cautious and only watched from a distance. The next morning, I turned the ball on again and she got in the ball pit with it. Not too much later as I was sitting in my recliner, her she comes with the toy in her mouth making that sound like cats do when they catch something. She dropped the toy at my feet, and I praised her for catching the critter. Thankfully the ball had timed out, so it did not take off again. I took the ball back to the pit and she did it again. Now she is coming to me asking me to come turn the ball on. That didn’t take long! I really appreciate that this toy is rechargeable and seems well made. This has two speeds so definitely start your cat out with the slower speed, unless they are not skittish. I have no idea how long this toy will last, but it sure is fun to watch for as long as it does! Too much fun!

    Junk
This basically worked fine until the battery ran down the first time. Accessing the plug requires flexing the C-shaped holder to uncover one of the ends. This cover eventually broke in the middle. Plugging it in never successfully changed the battery, and I took it apart to find out why. The battery is not held in place inside the ball, but is free to bounce around as the ball moves. This quickly caused the wire to come detached from the circuit board. I think I could have fixed it (probably temporarily), but the broken harness meant this was pointless. I took some pictures before I put the whole thing in the trash.

    My cat loves it.
It holds a pretty long charge. I don’t have a pick of it cause as soon as I pulled it out the box my cat was all over it. I managed to get it to charge up before he snatched it and walked off with it somewhere. I see this toy about once a week. Maybe less and each time I press the button there is still juice and renewed vigor from my active cat and Ho just snatches it for me and takes it out of sight. It’s sturdy as he has thrown it down the stars several times and it’s still alive. Would by again. He loves it.
