Good for ‘licky’ dogs?
We have a licky dog. Licks people, furniture, the floor. Got this and it seems to distract her into licking something else for a while. Works well with peanut butter and other treats. The suction cups really don’t work with our textured floor.

Slow Your Roll
Two things stand out about this slow feeder: the size (it’s pretty deep and large for a silicone feeder) and the material versatility (has a rubbery/elastic feel to it). The silicone material is great because you can freeze it, put it in the microwave, put it back in the fridge (leftovers) and then the dishwasher all without issue. And, if you’re clumsy like me, you don’t have to worry about dropping and breaking it! If it’s like my other silicone products, the bowl should last a good long while.To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure whether this would be challenging enough for my 7-year-old shiba inu in slowing down his eating. I was wrong. The pokey prongs in the middle did its job in slowing him down as he licked the bowl more gingerly as he maneuvered between each compartment/section. Half the side was filled with a combo of coconut oil, which had to be heated up in the microwave because it solidified in cold temps in the house, and his supplements + wet food, and then the other half was just dry kibble. During the summer, to try to get my dog to drink more water, this is also a great vessel to pour bone broth and other tasty goodies inside and freeze it, or even make homemade ice cream with Greek yogurt, and let him slowly lick it. I found cleaning it easy as well, as it’s dishwasher safe, or I soak it in hot water and a little detergent and use a scrub brush to get the crevices and prongs clean. I also add smears of peanut butter and Greek yogurt to the bottom and sides for in-between rewards that doesn’t get easily licked up in one go.The size is also surprisingly big and deep. My boy gets about a half cup of dry food and a scoop of wet food each meal, and it looked pretty sparse/spread out. The interior separators/compartments don’t go all the way to the top of the exterior rim, coming about ¼ inch shy, so you could fill the bowl to the brim, but I like that his food is spaced out so he has to move around the bowl more as opposed to inhale everything.The suction cups on the bottom of the feeder suck — but in a good way! Any time I lay it on my countertop or tabletop, I basically have to pry it off to move it. Funny enough, the only thing it doesn’t adhere/suck to is my dog’s feeding mat, which is a PVC material. This isn’t a big issue, though, as my dog isn’t a bowl pusher.

Great for cats too!
I have four cats, and they’re not your typical grazers. They all have their own unique eating styles, and the first one to finish their food moves on to someone else’s. I needed a way to slow him down, and this bowl is just what I needed! It might look a bit big for cats, but it works perfectly. The suction cups are a great feature because he would be moving all around the kitchen. It’s easy to clean, can be frozen, and is sturdy with the perfect thickness. It fits our needs perfectly!

Nice distraction for my fog
I love this! I put soft food or unsweetened apple sauce in the bottom and then put it in the freezer. When I leave, I stick it to the floor and it keeps my dog distracted. He has severe anxiety when I leave and this helps with that. It is very durable and has lived up to his use. It’s smaller than what I should have gotten. But it seems to be working just fine in keeping him distracted with the frozen food in it.

It works!
This actually slowed down Gilbert’s eating and at the same time didn’t seem to frustrate him terribly – which is what I expected. The soft silicone is a plus – I’ve seen other slow feeders made of stainless steel and worried they would hurt their teeth on them. It’s surprisingly easy to wash, considering all the nooks and crannies. I took off a star for a small point: the suction cups are kind of irritating -the bowl sticks to everything, and I think it would stay in place just fine without them, given the tackiness of the silicone. But kudos for making a better slow feeder than most I’ve seen on the market!

Great travel slow feeding bowl
I took this slow feeding bowl on a trip with my dog to feed his Farmers Dog lightly cooked food and it was great. Size is perfect, silicone prevents breakage and it is easy to clean in a hotel sink. I will definitely be using this again next time we travel.

Perfect for bath time!
I got this item to stick to the side of the sink or tub for bath time. I can add a little bit of peanut butter or squeezy cheese and keep my frenchies entertained while they are getting their bathes. Perfect! It is a little bit bigger than I thought it would be – but other than being a little on the large size – its fabulous!

Ich durfte diesen Artikel im Zuge des Vine Programms kostenfrei testen.Dennoch bewerte ich unvoreingenommen und ehrlich.+++Material und Verarbeitung+++Die CHEWFFON Hundeschale besteht aus BPA-freiem, lebensmittelechtem Silikon.Sie ist ca. 24cm lang und ca 19cm breit, die Höhe ist ca. 4,5cm.Im Inneren weist sie Noppen und Rillen auf, die Unterseite ist mit 23 kleinen Saugnäpfen versehen.Das Material ist sehr hochwertig und sogar spülmaschinenfest.Die Verarbeitung ist absolut top.+++Alltagstauglichkeit+++Die Schale ist groß genug um ca. 200 g. Trockenfutter so aufzunehmen, dass noch Platz am Rand bleibt und der Hund nicht alles rausschiebt.Sie hält dank der Saugnäpfe tatsächlich richtig gut am Boden und bleibt da auch, wenn der Hund arbeiten muss um die letzten Krümel noch herauszubekommen.Auch bei Joghurt bleibt die Schale völlig unbeeindruckt am Platz.Da sie aus hochwertigem Silikon ist, kann sie auch für gefrorene Leckereien genommen werden, was wir im Sommer sehr gerne zur Abkühlung geben.Durch die Rillen und Noppen hat der Hund wirklich Arbeit um an sein Futter zu kommen, was gerade für Hunde gut ist, die ihr Futter in sekundenschnelle herunterschlingen.Die Schale ist nach Gebrauch schnell gespült, darf aber auch mit in die Spülmaschine.Mir gefällt übrigens auch das Design, sowohl die Form finde ich sehr ansprechend, aber auch die Farbkombination ist richtig toll.Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Artikel und kann den Kauf wirklich empfehlen.

This lick mat bowl is very nice. My dog uses it every day. I thought I got the smaller one, but I think this one is the larger one. She only eats ¼ cup of food during her meals, but when it is finished, she still likes to lick the mat. That is why I got this … she is a licker. She seems to really enjoy her food from this dish.I like that it has suction on the bottom so she cannot tip it and spill all her food everywhere. I like the dish, and she seems to as well, so I guess it is a win-win!I highly recommend this.

I have the large and small version of this lick mat bowl, this review is for both. tld;dr: Large size is great, small size is not as useful. See pictures for size differences, with a 1 cup measuring scoop for scale.Large:- Well made, holds enough food for 1 meal (~1 cup)- Good for freezer treats- Con: small silicone “nubs” at the bottom of bowl are easy for a more determined dog to chew off- Suction sticks better to my counter than my floorSmall:- Too small, about the size of a soap dish- Didn’t work well for my cat: she’s used to slow feeder bowls for her wet food, but this bowl holds so little food that one meal covers up the raised bottom so.- Might work as a treat bowl for a chihuahua-sized dog; but, again, it holds such a small amount of food I don’t recommend it.
