My mom loves her new doggie!!
About 3 months ago we had to put my mom’s 16 year old dog to sleep. My mom was so lonely so I went online to see if there was a fake dog that seems real for people with Alzheimer’s. I found this on Amazon & thought I’d buy it for my mom to see how she’d like it. She absolutely loves her new, low maintenance, doggie. Every time I go to her house, she shows me her and loves talking to her. We say it’s a she and her name is Lilly. I am so happy I bought this for my mom and would highly recommend it!! I did a little video of when I gave it to her to share with my siblings since they couldn’t be there.

REOCCURING ISSUE
I truly don’t want to write this review but feel I need to so that an issue with this product can be addressed. I have ordered 3 of this product. The first one was returned because all of a sudden the barking and tail wagging was going in a continuous loop and we couldn’t stop it. This occurred within the window of return so I was able to get the second one as an even exchange. My husband has dementia and he loves “Raymond”. He calls him his “buddy”. So I definitely wanted him replaced. Well, Raymond #2 experienced the very same problem. The issue is it didn’t start until the return window had closed. As a result, I had to purchase Raymond #3. This did not make me very happy but I could not disappoint my husband by not having a workable Raymond. I am extremely disappointed that this keeps happening. I considered going to a different company but my husband is attached to his “black nosed” Raymond. I hope this issue that keeps occurring can be addressed by the company so that future customers will not suffer the same experience. I am praying that Raymond #3 will continue to work properly as it is today. We love him but we need him to work.

God-Send
I don’t really write reviews, but this was really a God-send. My husband’s grandmother is suffering from dementia and recently lost her dog. I didn’t want to offend her by getting her this, because she is still very ‘with it’ a lot of the time. She warmed up to it within minutes and now it is with her all the time. She snuggles it, talks to it, and even tries to comfort it by talking about her old dog when it wines. It is really beautiful to see how much comfort it gives her, and I’m so grateful to the person who thought of this <3

Mom is 90. This is her best friend.
This pet dog is perfect for mom. She’s almost 90 and loves dogs. A real pet is too much for her but after losing her husband for 41 years she was very lonely. She takes this dog everywhere on her walker and in the bed when she sleeps. Perfect product. She’s had it for at least 16 months now with no issues. Buy it. You will love it.

I wasted A LOT of money buying cheaper versions for my mother, who has Alzheimer’s. She played with them for a few hours, maybe a day, but then tired of them easily. I also thought about voice-activated robotic dogs, but they don’t “feel” like the real thing, and they look and sound like toys, not dogs. But with THIS one, it was love at first sight. She has been playing with “Lola” for two days now and shows no signs of stopping. After only a few hours of playing with her, mom even said, ” for a second I thought she was just a doll, then I remembered she is a live doggie!” She even asked me if “Lola” needed to got outside to do her business! Should have spent the money sooner. My only complaint is that, although the dog’s limbs move into different positions, she doesn’t stand on all fours or walk around. Oh well… can’t have everything :)Edit to my original post: Mom has NEVER been soooo engaged by any of the other robotic pets I bought for her! It has been almost a month, and she is STILL not tired of her dog. She spends HOURS “talking” to “Lola”. Worth every penny!2nd Edit to original post: Two years after our original purchase and this dog is still Mom’s preferred animal friend. “Lola” has kept Mom company during hospital stays, and has kept Mom happier and more relaxed than if she had been there alone. Another great benefit is that many employees who would never have stopped to talk with Mom now do so because of Lola’s presence. Many who stopped to talk asked for details on how to buy “Lola”, and of course I always refer them to Amazon
